The handsome two story brick business house known as the Coffman building, has been completed. The building is on the East side of Main Street and one of the best stands in town.
The contract for the building was given to W. F. SANDERS, the well known contractor of Sanders Town, and the building is a credit to his skill and good workmanship.
Wray & Sanders, the hardware men, occupy the north side of the building, having moved in a few weeks ago, and have one of the most uptodate hardware stores in the county.
H. D. HOWELL, the grocery and restaurant man, occupies the south side of the building. Mr. HOWELL will run a first class restaurant and carry a complete line of staple and fancy groceries. Mr. HOWELL delivers goods in the city and enjoys a good trade. He has a much nicer and larger building and will carry a larger stock than ever before. The second story of the building is unoccupied.
The Grounds building around on Depot street which was built by Smith & Son is also a nice addition to the growing town of Friendship.
The room next to Hotel McCanless is occupied by Grounds & Sons who handle an exclusive line of gents' furnishings and will carry a line of goods not often seen in towns smaller than Dyersburg or Jackson. They are too well known to the people of Friendship and community to need any recommendation from the Tri-County News.
Howell Bros. of Jackson have opened a fine stock of groceries in the west side of the building.
Representative GARRETT will no doubt soon be called upon to secure a government building for Friendship if the mail continues to increase. Monday morning Postmaster CURTIS and his assistants had the delightful task of putting up fifteen big sacks of letters and papers.

Mr. and Mrs. C. A. ROGERS and Mrs. Pearl PARRISH of Bonicord were in town shopping Saturday.
W. F. PARKER was able to be out Monday with the aid of crutches. He stepped on a rusty nail several days ago which caused him severe pain and confine him to his room.
Messrs. Sewell and Lawrence JONES attended the dance here Friday night.
Miss Willie DAVIS went to Jackson Sunday to visit relative and friends.
Esq. W. S. FROST and wife of Bonicord were in town Monday.
Eld. Herbert SUDBURY of Henderson school visited homefolks this week.

Esq. J. F. PARKS, Representative from Crockett, came home Sunday accompanied by his wife.
George T. Renfro has been reappointed superintendent of the State Capitol.
