Mrs. M. E. CLARK visited in Stokes Sunday.

Paul SIMS spent Saturday and Sunday with home folks here.

Wilbur FONES of Jackson visited here this week.

D. D. ROBERTSON of Brownsville visited in Friendship Sunday.

Mr. Eddie BANKS, wife and little daughters, Lois and Mary, spent Saturday in Halls.

Messrs. Charles BANDY, George COPHER and Wiley PARKS went to Nashville Sunday.

Messr. W. E. BOWEN and L. E. SANDERS spent Saturday and Sunday in the Bluff City.

Buck AUSTIN of Alamo has been filling Agent CHANDLER's position during his absence.

George COFFMAN, student of Vanderbilt University Nashville, spent a few days with homefolks here recently.

Floyd CHANDLER, B&NW agent, visited Nashville this week.

The residence of E. A. ROBERTSON near the college has been repaired and painted, giving it the appearance of a new house.

Mr. Jessie WHITE and Miss Winnie DAVIS, Mr. Ira FIELDER, and Miss Grey SMITH spent Sunday in Maury City.

J. W. SUDBURY is building an addition to the concrete walk in front of his residence on Main Street.

Ezra LEATHERS, a young man well known here, received a bullet wound Sunday while struggling with Bob MULLERS over a pistol. Both men were wounded by the same bullet but not seriously. The difficulty occurred on the farm of Leather's father near Jackson.

It having been a custom for several year for the birthday of Mrs. Jane STALLINGS to be celebrated by her immediate family. The sixth of April being the date of seventy-eighth birthday anniversary, it was fully remembered. Three sons and six daughters. [MORE]

Mr. and Mrs. J. A. STALLINGS entertained the young people Tuesday night.

H. D. Howell has moved his grocery and restaurant into the Coffman Building.
