Court Records &#8211; September 1795 (pg. 1)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>September Sesession 1795 &#8211; pg. 1<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On motion of <strong>John CRAIG<\/strong> ordered that he have liberty to build a public mill on his own land on Pistol Creek.<\/li>\n<li>On motion of <strong>Matthew WALLACE<\/strong> ordered that he have his mark and brand recorded, to wit, two half crops of each ear.<\/li>\n<li>Power of attorney from<strong> Jane BOGLE<\/strong> to <strong>Andrew BOGLE<\/strong> was proved in open court and admitted to record.<\/li>\n<li><strong>John COCHRAN&#8217;<\/strong>s cattle mark was recorded; a swallowfork in the left ear and a crop and slit in the right ear.<\/li>\n<li>The will of <strong>Josias MARTIN<\/strong> was produced in court and proved by <strong>James SCOTT<\/strong>, who said that he saw <strong>John WALLACE<\/strong> make his mark as a concurring witness..<strong>.James SCOTT<\/strong>, <strong>William HUTTON<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Joseph MARTIN<\/strong> were appointed executor, but <strong>James SCOTT<\/strong> &amp; <strong>William HUTTON<\/strong> refused to serve.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Source: The above appears in the 1988 Issue #2 of Ansearchin&#8217; News &#8211; publication of the Tennessee Genealogical Society. &lt;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.tngs.org\/ansearchin\/index.html\">http:\/\/www.tngs.org\/ansearchin\/index.html<\/a>&gt;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>September Sesession 1795 &#8211; pg. 1 On motion of John CRAIG ordered that he have liberty to build a public mill on his own land on Pistol Creek.
