Their father, <strong>James sr.<\/strong> is also named in one deed. \u00a0<strong>Elizabeth \u201cBetsey\u201d Don Carlos<\/strong> is their sister, married to <strong>Robert Cole Don Carlos<\/strong> and separated\/widowed from him around 1821. <strong>Carter Morgan Don Carlos<\/strong> is the son of Elizabeth and Robert (variously recorded as Carter M Carlase\/Doncarlas); Carter would have just reached legal age in 1823.\u00a0 <strong>William Carter Carlos<\/strong> and <strong>Robert Cole Don Carlos<\/strong> are brothers, sons of <strong>Archelaus Carlos<\/strong> and <strong>Fanny Carter (<\/strong>William is variously recorded as William C. Tipton <\/strong>to a jack tree near<strong> Tipton\u2019s <\/strong>house to a pine marked by <strong>William Tipton<\/strong> on south west corner to <strong>Major John Singalton <\/strong>to the above Badgett line then running with the said Samuel Badgett lines to an oak on the bank of Little River being the beginning. \u00a0Containing 40 acres more or less. Doncarlos did on the twentieth day of September 1818 at the Court\u00a0 house in Maryville set up and offered for sale a certain tract of land lying and being in said county of Blount on the waters of Tennessee River containing acres [number not specified] which James Badgett offered and ___[best] the sum of $34 dollars which was the highest offer made for said land.
