I am interested in learning more of the Virginia ancestry of Henry Cox, early settler in Blount Co. He was at one time in Halifax, Charlotte and Lunenburg Counties and had at least five sons who accompanied him to east TN: Curd, John (m. dau of Alex. Kell y),Ambrose, Tolliver, and perhaps, Henry. There were probably others. I am mainly interested in this family's background and know very little about most of his descendants who lived in the Louisville area. Will appreciate any information.

I need any info William Phillips and Polly Frisbee, who were parents of Sara (Saly) Pauline Phillips. Sarah was born 20 July 1830 and died on 5 April 1920. She married Charles Hamilton Chambers on 17 August l847. I am also searching for parents of Ruth Ha milton, who was the mother of Charles Hamilton Chambers. Ruth Hamilton married Moses Chambers ca 1827- 28. Their son Charles was born 18 April 1829, died 20 Sept. 1847. I also need info on parents of Mary Ann Roach. She was married to James Henry Bryant. Their daughter, Selena Ann Bryant, born Nov. 1848 Blount County, died ca 1887 Blount Co, She married Lafayette Alexander Chambers in Nov. 1868 in Blount Co. (L.A. In 1938-39, my family lived on a farm in eastern TN. It was located three or 4mi south of Maryville. The name of the district was Arr-moan-ya(phonetically spelled - as remembered by a lad of five). In the vicinity there was a two room school house. It had the same name -Arr-moan-ya - Grade or Elementary School. Does anyone know the correct spelling, pronunciation and or location of Arr-moan-ya?

Major B. McCamy m. Margaret Hafley (1838, Blount). They are the parents of Mary J. McCamey who m. J L Kidd in 1859 in Blount Co. James L. was born the son of Robert Kidd in 1834/35, Blount Co. He died 1862 maybe in Blount Co. He was the father of Leonard Lincoln and Tennessee Kidd. After his death Mary m. a McDaniel and came to AR in 1867, along with Major McCamy her father. I am searching for the burial spot of William Wallace. I searced the Providence Pres.Church as I was told he was buried there and the wall ran thru his grave. He was a Revolutionary War Soldier. Looking for information on WILLIAM KING who lived in Blount Co. Not known when he first arrived there but believe that he was there as early as 1819. Blount Co. records indicate a daughter, CHARITY KING was married in Blount Co. that year. I have a consid erable amount of information on his descendants. Wm. married (1)______ HAMMONTREE(2) ELIZABETH RAY. He was my 3rd great grandfather. Historical writings indicate that the family came to Blount Co. from Buncombe Co. NC. although I can find no proof of this. His father w as Rev.War soldier, first name unknown. William was born circa 1776-1780 in NC or SC, not sure which. William was raised by an uncle, PROSSER KING. I have been unable to find any record of Prosser or his whereabouts in that area and time, probably 1760-1 810. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I am interested in the area called Rhea's Valley. It is in the Hiwassee district, and is in a cove. Robert Rhea asked the TN legislature in 1823 for a quarter section to spend his declining years.He died in 1850. Were there many Rhea's who lived in this a rea? Also Interested in the Chilhowee Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Happpy Valley, located in Blount Co, TN. it is said to be 5-6miles south of Maryville on the southside of the chilhowee range. Does anyone have records on this cemetery, and are there man y Rhea's buried there? Robert Rhea was the first coroner of Blount Co. TN.

Blount Co. Searching for the time and place of death of Peter Key, b. 1807/1810, and his wife Avice Greer Hayes (a widow with 2 daughters). I have found another Peter Key, but it is not the same one. Their son (my g-grandfather) & family went from TN to Indian Territory, OK in the fall of 1880. I suspect that they each had died between 1860-1880.
