I am looking for information on a WALLACE family that lived in Blount Co., TN from about 1800 (or earlier) through 1840+. Two of the children are Mary Ann WALLACE, born about 1807, who married Jeremiah K. MOSIER in Blount Co. in 1824, and Clark WALLACE, b irth date unknown. Mary and her husband, J. K. MOSIER and the Clark WALLACE family both moved to McDonald Co., MO in the 1850s. Any information on this WALLACE family, or any connections, would be appreciated.

Looking for any information at all on Jane Inks and her family. She was born 1800? She married Samuel Tipton(b.1795??-d.1868 in Cherokee County Texas.) Their son Albert Gallatin Tipton was born in 1825? in Blount Co. Ten.so, we thought that his parents mi ght have been married in the same county. We do know that they were married on Sept.1,1816. We are interested in Jane "Jennie" Inks because family oral tradition says that she was an Indian. We think either Choctaw or Cherokee. She is too early to be listed on the Dawes rolls. Does anyone there have any information on the origen of the Inks family? A cherokke man told me that Inks could very possibly be a Cherokee "anglo" name taken by Cherokee Indians. Sure could use some help here.Th ank you.

I am searching for information on John and Jenny Waugh RANKIN They had two sons,JOHN and Samuel and four daughters (names unknown). The son JOHN RANKIN possibly married in Blount Co TN in the early 1800s to a Weir. They had children while in TN. One of th em possibly being CAMPBELL RANKIN and he is the one I am trying to connect to his father whose name was John. This family migrated from Blount Co to Harrison Co Indiana somewhere between 1815 and 1820.

I need records showing the names and information about the parents of a Daniel CHESSHIR who was born 5 Apr. 1824 in VA, probably Halifax Co., and married a Sallie RAULSTON (or ROLSTON) from TN. Daniel and Sallie CHESSHIR were living in TN, probably Blount or Bedford Co., in May 1845, when their first daughter, Elizabeth Jane CHESSHIR, was born. Their first son, James Riley CHESSHIR was born in TN, in Jul 1846. The family soon after moved to Red River Co., TX, where Daniel CHESSHIR appears on the county ta x rolls in 1848. Daniel and Sallie CHESSHIR settled in Red River Co. and had eleven more children. He died in Red River Co., 26 Jun 1888 and is buried in the Halesboro Cemetery in that county. Some sources say that Daniel CHESSHIR'S given name was Nathani el, that his father was Zachias CHESSHIR and his mother was Ketura (or Catherine)unknown surname. I need proof of these things. Census records specify that this Zachias CHESSHIR was born in VA (probably Halifax Co.), about 1791. Records show that Zachias CHESSHIR and his family were living in Bedford Co., TN in 1835 and 1840, then in Red River Co., TX in 1850.

I am searching for descendents of Josiah Patty, who was born about 1812 in TN. He m. Delila and they were living in Blount Co in 1840. I believe him to be the son of Zorobable Patty, who was enumerated in the 1830 census of Roane Co. with his family. Jos iah and his family were living in Dade Co., Georgia in 1850 and then moved to Carroll Co. AR before 1860 where he lived near Jesse Patty. I believe Jesse is Josiah Patty's brother. This Jesse lived next door to Zorabable Patty in 1830 Roane Co., Tn. Some of Josiah and Delila's children were Ransom, Jesse F., Isaac J., Mary A, and Martha J. Descendents of these families lived in Missouri, Kansas, and Texas. Zorobable Patty was likely the brother of Obediah Patty of McMinn Co., and Josiah of Roane Co.

ADAMSON - Searching for info on Henry W. Adamson (b 1790-1800 in TN); located in Randolph Co., IN (1840). Believed to die while visting an Uncle Abraham Adamson in Jasper Co., IA in 1846. Abraham (b 1790) resided in Jefferson and Blount Co., TN before hea ding north in 1820. Don't know how these two related exactly. Henry married into the Simon and Margaret Adamson, Sr. line (b 1733 PA, d 5/2/1812 Lost Creek Jefferson Co., TN). They had 2 children whose descendants have not been searched: ENOS Adamson and DAVID Adamson. Other children of Simon are: Jesse T. m Mary Wells, Simon, Jr. m Elinor, John m. Mary Hammer, Jonathan m. Ruth Williams, Thomas "Byrd" m. Rachael Williams, and Nancy. Simon traveled as children born in Wilson, Blount and Jefferson Counties. Would really appreciate any information regarding Henry W., Abraham, Enos or David.

I've two different possible listing of their children. The lists agree on Joseph, William, Archibald, Newton, Boyd, Henderson, Samuel, Sarah, Fanny, John, Nancy, Hannah, Polly. Of particular interest is where they originated a nd in their son Newton MCMURRAY (1804-1834) m. Elenor BOGLE. 1824.
Seeking information regarding the origins of Eleanor "Nelly" WILLIAMS (1775-1852) m. Samuel BOGLE (1765-1852) Sept 1797. Both died in Blount Co. TN. They combined for 11 children all born in Blount Co.: Polly, Joseph, Jane, Nancy, John, Andrew, Betsy, Polly, Samuel, Nelly, Eleanor. Samuel BOGLE was the son of Jospeh BOGLE and Nancy McANTYRES / McINTIRE.
