I am looking for information on the parents of Denny Lane B:Dec.1836
Wilson Co.Tn. Marr:Minerva Patterson abt.1855. I suspect his father
is either Drury or Denny Lane who show marriage records in Davidson
Co.in 1821 and 1825. Denny and Minerva had 10 children, the oldest
being Granderson Perkin Lane (my great grandfather. Any help would be

I am looking for information on JULIA ANN LANKFORD & JOHN PROCTOR.
They were married in Wilson Cty., Tn. June 22, 1844. They are also
listed in the 1850 Wilson Cty., Tn. Census:"Willie" JOHN,
45yrs.,JULIA A. (wife) 35yrs., Children: JOSEPH,16, Mary,9, JULIA 7,
MARTHA J. 6, WESLEY,4, and Betty,2.
As John/Willie & Julia were married only 6 yrs by 1850, I believe
this was not either's first marriage. If anyone knows anything about

I am looking for any records of George Eleman. I beleive he was born
in Wilson County around 1827. I have records of him in a census of
1870 in Cave township, Franklin county Illinois. The spelling of the
last name could be a variation. It has been mispelled more than once
and I am not sure which is correct. Today it is spelled Elimon.

I have a death notice of a MATTIE MITCHELL HEARN who died in Lebanon
.Her funeral held at the Lebanon Church of Christ February 1926. I
wondered if anyone could tell me if this church is still open and if
so could they please send me an address. I thought they might have

Searching for parents, siblings and birth date of Jordan Stokes Vick
who married Martha Paralee Pugh-Hallum about 1884 and lived in Wilson

Looking for parents of Isham Turner DAVIS, b. abt. 1813 "near

in various data bases (book "West Wilson County Neighbors;" TN
Marriages: 1809, Oct 01 Isham F. DAVIS m. Rachel S. HAYS, then later
July 02 1821 to Sally CURD; and Isham F. DAVIS listed under Capt.
Davis District, Wilson Co., Census-1804 Tax List). Is there a way to

Looking for info on decendents of Doak Young, b. 12 Jan 1804, d.

Looking for information on Benjamin GILL and Maryann BELCHER, parents
of Amanda C. GILL born in Warren County, Kentucky on January 12,
1868. They likely originated in Wilson County, Tennessee and
migrated to Warren County, Kentucky along with the BELCHER family
sometime in the 1840s-1860s. I need their dates of birth, marriage,
and death, as well as other children they had. Amanda C. Gill

Looking for information on William Dunn (b.abt.1785) and Elizabeth
Bradley (b.abt.1789) who married on December 11, 1809 in Lebanon,
Wilson Co. I don't know if William Dunn was married before, but
there was a daughter named Mary (Polly) Dunn. On Mary(Polly)'s
tombstone, it says that she was born on March 10, 1806.

I would like the name(s) of the earliest newspapers published in
Wilson County. The period I need is for the years of 1809 through
1835. I am looking for an obituary of George FINLEY or Mary Polly
GAINES FINLEY listing their children. I believe they may have died in
Wilson County in the home of their son, Obediah Gaines FINLEY.
Obediah settled his fathers estate in Wilson County in 1819. Mary
died approximately in 1830 in her son Obediah's home.

It has been reported to me by a cousin that my ggrandfather, Daniel
KELLY and his wife Elizabeth lived in Wilson County, that their son
Noah KELLY, my grandfather, was born in Wilson County in 1830s,

I am searching for JONES in Wilson County. The 1850 Census lists
JONES, Nelson, 32; Nancy, 34; William, 8; Martial (Marshal), 5;
Nelson J., 3; Frances M. 3/12.
The 1860 Census shows Nelson R. 40; Nancy, 42; Marshall P., 15;
Alexander, 13; Francis M. 11; and John T., 8;
I believe that Marshall P. JONES is my ggrandfather. I find him
again in 1870 living with his wife, Amanda, in Henry Co.
I believe that Amanda was also from Wilson Co. As the 1850 Census
shows her as HUGLEY, Amanda, 7; (father is Enoch HUGLEY, 68) and the
1860 Census shows Amanda HUGHLY, 14; (father as E. HUGLY, 80)
Amanda HUGLEY in 1850 has several siblings, Bethey, Samuel, Martha,
Charles, Mary, Albert, Eleanor and Joseph.
In 1860, Tobitha HUGHLEY is in the household, with Amanda, Joseph and
Mary.
I am more than happy to share my information with others who may be
searching this family.

Searching for sibling's descendants of James R Sullivan and Sarah E

My gggrandfather was Rev. J Wesley Myrick, married Elizabeth Nelson,
had 6 children - William Taswell (born 9 Sept 1837 in Lebanon, Wilson
County, TN), Theodore, Thomas, Redfern, Betty, and Sallie. William
Taswell married Mary (Molly) Almeda Jarrell (born 12 Sept 1842). They
came to Texas in 1882. He served under Gen Morgan in Civil War. His
muster records show he got paid for a rifle and a horse when he
enlisted. Betty married a Weaver. Sallie married a Halfacre.

ELLIS, who on 19 Feb 1820 married Prudence BELCHER (dau. of Richard
BELCHER & Ulsey HASTINGS) in Wilson Co, Tennessee. Prudence was born
in 1789 in Amelia Co, Virginia.
Robert & Prudence had a daughter, Martha Jane ELLIS, on 27 Dec 1820
who married James Robert HEARN on 30 Jan 1838 in Wilson Co,
Tennessee. James & Martha Jane (ELLIS) HEARN moved from Wilson Co,
TN to Wayne Co, IL in 1841.
I'm also looking for parents for James Robert HEARN. He was born 29
Mar 1816 in Wilson Co, Tennessee. One theory is that he was a son of

William Alexander Green, son of Isaac Green Jr. and Elizabeth Eagan,
was married to Susannah whose last name is believed to have been
Dennis. They had two sons, Isaac b about 1857 and Robert Andrew b
about 1860. In 1860 they were residing with William's mother in
Wilson Co.
Some researchers show William Alexander Green m. Mary Sherrell in
1864. Is this the same man, or perhaps uncle/nephew?
Susannah and her sons are found on the 1880 Polk Co. census. Need

REV WAR Veteran-Thomas HUNT 1747-1836 was born in Charles County,
Maryland where he enlisted in the army-after 5 years in the army
during the Rev War he moved to Halifax County, Virginia and lived
there until 1810- he then moved to Wilson County where he died.
Elijah HUNT of Halifax County , Virginia appeared before the court in
Halifax, Virginia and appointed Daniel HOSPKINS attorney of
Rutherford County to sue the clerk of court Wm. L. MARTIN of Wilson
County and George BROWN administrater of Thomas Hunt's estate. I
descend from the cited Elijah Hunt and assume he may be a son of
Thomas HUNT. I would appreciate any information on Thomas HUNT.

Co area, per Wilson Co Tidbits.....I refer to Elizabeth GATES,
William GATES, and any other Gates known to be in Wilson Co and
Sumner Co TN. The family later removed to MO. Especially interested
in J.P. Gates b. PA abt 1781, Sarah b. NC abt 1803, Susanna b. KY

Looking for information on the Bond family of Wilson County, TN. My
4th great grandparents were James and Nancy Matthews Bond who were
married in Gates Co., NC in 1801. Before 1820 they moved to Wilson
county TN and lived near the following Bond families: Andrew, James,

I am looking for Josephine (Josie) NEWBELL, my ggrandmother's maiden

Joseph WILLIAMS and Jenny PATTERSON married 13 July 1820 in Wilson Co
TN. Is this the couple who purchased land in Conway County, ARK in
1836 & moved from TN? Joseph WILLIAMS wife died just prior to 1840,
Joseph WILLIAMS died 1841/42. Two of their children died 1841/42.
Two children survivied: George W. WILLIAMS who married Alosia

I'm trying to find information or a link to my gggrandmother LAURA
FUSTON b. Sept 02, 1867, LAURA FUSTON m. BAPTIST MINISTER STEPHEN
ROBINSON. In the 1850 WILSON COUNTY CENSUS for District 13 I have
found her family. LEROY FUSTON, 30, m, farmer, and his wife LUCINDA
FUSTON whose maiden name was either HASS/HAAS. The children were
James W. Fuston, 8, Aramitta Fuston, 6, Sarah E. Fuston, 3, and
Samuel A. Fuston an infant 10/12mths. Also listed living with them
is Samuel Fuston, 24, also a farmer and brother to Leroy Fuston. Can
anybody add to this information prooving that LAURA FUSTON is LEROY'S
daughter. Also, I've found a JAMES FUSTON, son of SAMUEL C. FUSTON
and NANCY PARILEE MULLICAN. Can somebody tell me if LEROY IS THE

Am researching John SADLER and wife "Tiny". They were in Smith Co in
1850. Does anyone know anything about this couple? TJohn was born
in NC around 1802. John & Tiny had a daughter Delila who married
Andrew Jack CLAXTON. Delila was born in TN 12 Feb 1840 and died 6
Sep 1917. Andrew Jack's parents were Jonathan F., born around 1793,
and Dorcas T (last name unknown), born around 1802, in NC. Andrew
Jack was born 29 July 1842 in TN and died 15 Oct 1912. Jonathan and
Dorcas were in 1860 DeKalb Co, 1850 Wilson Co, and 1880 Co. Census.

Still looking for ANY info on Wiley Powell, who marr. Mary/Polly
Smith in 1845 in Wilson Co. Wiley and Mary are my
gr-gr-grandparents. Wiley was quite a bit older than Mary so he may
have been married at least once before. His first name could be

Seeking info on Minnie Francis DAVIS m Simpson Harris
BASKIN(S)possibly in Rutherford Co or Wilson Co TN between 1890-1897.
My grandmother always said she was part Cherokee and part Black
Dutch. These are her parents and her grandparents were Andrew Jackson
BASKIN m Catharine ELLIOTT 5Feb 1864. I have gotten back on BASKIN &
know they came over from Ireland in 1732. So the native american
blood has to come from either the DAVIS or ELLIOTT lines. Have been
unable to find anything on either of them yet.

Can anyone identify the following Maddox/Baxter marriages which
appear in Wilson Co. records? (1) Julia Ann Baxter m. Azariah J.
Maddox on 6 April 1838 and (2) Mary Baxter m. Benjamin Maddox on 12
Nov 1840.
A. J. Maddox and wife Julia (Baxter) appear in the 1850 Marshall Co.,
TN census with children Daniel P., Judia P., Eliza L., Parilee, and
Martha. Also in this Maddox household was a Martha Baxter (age 42,
b. VA) and her Baxter children James M. (age 20), J.S. (male, age
16), and Calvin (age 11). Is this Julia (Baxter) Maddox's mother and
siblings?

Would like to correspond with anyone searching for members of the
Yerger family of Lebanon Tn. There were according to what I have been
told, 11 or 12 brothers. One brother was an Episcopal minister and
the others were all lawyers. The family later moved to Mississippi
and were quite prominent in the Jackson area. My great great
grandfather was Alexander Yerger and, I believe, one of these
brothers but have been unable to document this. Any help will be
greatly appreciated.
