COLEMAN

James William COLEMAN born 22 September 1888 was a constable in Williamson Co. I have a picture of him and 5 other men standing in front of what is said to have been the biggest still found and broken up in Williamson Co. Would love to know the names of the other men. One is probably Sam Locke. Would also love to know when this took place and have a copy of the article that was probably published in the paper.

ROBERTSON, WARREN, COLEMAN, THWEATT, VENABLE

I need help. The line goes like this. George W. WARREN Sr. born June 1825 had James William born 1868 who had Minnie Bowers born Aug 1888 and died 16 Nov 1950 who had Ernest Edmond COLEMAN born 10 Aug 1914 and died 1 March 1966. Zella born November 1825 had James William WARREN born June 1868 who had Minnie Bowers WARREN. James M. COLEMAN born around 1811 had Thomas H. (probably Harman) born Mar 1865 had James William born 22 Sept 1888 and died 21 Oct 1949 had Ernest Edmond COLEMAN. Wife of James M. ROBERTSON is unknown. First name of wife of George W. WARREN Sr. is Zella (nothing else known about Zella). On 24 Dec 1846 James M. COLEMAN married Elizabeth THWEATT born 11 Nov 1826 and died 22 Feb 1910 (nothing else known about Elizabeth). James William WARREN married Caldonia ROBERTSON. Thomas H. COLEMAN maried Alice VENABLE born March 1866 (nothing else know about Alice). James William COLEMAM married Minnie Bowers WARREN on 11 June 1908. Ernest Edmond is the father of my husband.

SMITHSON

Looking for any information on the family of Stephen Smithson who appears on the 1840 & 1850 Census in Williamson Co, TN. This info is from the 1850 Census. Stephen age 53 VA, VA, TN Sally(Sarah) age 53 Elizabeth age 23 Allen age 22 Amanda age 20 Martha age 16 John age 14 Then on the 1860 Census Stephen Smithson's household appears in Hickman Co, TN Stephen age 62 Sarah age 62 Elizabeth A. age 30 Amanda J. age 25 Martha F. age 20 Allen Smithson' family appears on the same census page in Hickman Co, Tn as: Allen W. age 33 Caroline age 21 John W. age 1 Any info on these families would be a big help. BUGG, BELL

Looking for parents or siblings of Sarah Ann BUGG. Joel Allen BELL married Sarah Ann BUGG 15 Jun 1848 in Williamson County, TN. Sarah Ann BUGG was born 18 Mar 1830 in TN and died 21 May 1886 Smith County, TX. Joel Allen Bell was born 12 Jul 1827 in Bedford Co., TN and died 16 Jan 1892 Smith Co., TX. They are both buried at the old Bell cemetery near Tyler. They migrated to Smith County, Texas near Tyler in 1854. Their two oldest children, Amanda S. Bell and John Allen Bell, were born in Bedford Co., TN. Their other children, all born in Smith Co., TX were Lewis H., Henry, Sam Houston, Joseph Joel, Thomas, Mary Ellen, Martha, Elizabeth, and Leonard Bell. My grandfather searched for Sarah Ann Bugg's birthplace and parents for years with no luck. I just found out she and Joel were married in Williamson County so I'm trying to find out if she was born here or had relatives here. I'd love to here from anyone with information on any BUGG families that were in Williamson County in the early 1800s.

WILSONS IN WILLIAMSON CO.

I'm having a really difficult time finding information on a Thomas and Margaret WILSON who died 1821 and 1828 in Williamson Co. TN. I have ordered the film for Will Bk.4 three times, but it has always been in use since July, and apparently the film cannot be purchased. Does anyone know anything about this Thomas and Margaret Wilson? My calculations from the census indicate Thomas and Margaret Wilson had nine children, and he was born before 1775. Three of their youngest children were: Samuel Wilson, Matilda Wilson and Thomas Wilson. Their guardian was Richard A. Hancock, appointed in January 1831. COLEMAN

My husband's grandfather, James "Jim" William Coleman, was born 22 September 1888 and died at home 21 October 1949. Jim was a constable and farmer during the 1920's. While he was a constable he was a member of a force that found and broke up the largest still ever found in Williamson Co. An article with a picture accompaning it was published in the local paper. We have a copy of that picture with the still, Jim and 5 other men. Would love to know the names of the other men, when this happened and what paper it was published in.

VENABLE, COLEMAN

Alice VENABLE was born Mary 1866/7 in TN. She married Thomas H. COLEMAN who was born March 1865. Thomas is buried in Boston, TN. Need the parents of Alice and dates on her. Two of their sons George H, and E. Clemons are buried in Calvery Cemetery in Spring Hill, Maury Co, TN. The death date only is on the stone of E. C.

Am looking for information on James M. ROBERTSON, born around 1846, spouse unknown. He had a daughter named Caldonia who married James William WARREN. They had a daughter named Minnie Bowers born 12 August 1880 (1888 per 1900 Maury Co., TN Census). Minnie married James William COLEMAN. James William was in Williamson Co, TN in the 1910 census.

Elizabeth THWEATT was born 11 November 1826 in TN. She married James M. COLEMAN who was born around 1811 in VA. They married 24 December 1846 in Franklin, Williamson Co, TN. Elizabeth died 22 February 1910 and is buried in Calvery Cemetery in Spring Hill, Maury Co, TN. Can anyone give me the birth and death dates on their children and the names of their spouses,and the names of the parents of Elizabeth and James? James and Elizabeth are the gr-gr-grandparents of my husband.

Searching for any information on Peter Ambrose d. 1936 Williamson Co.; Susie Cartright Ambrose d. 1943 Williamson Co. CLARK

I am researching the CLARK family of Williamson County, Tennessee. I located them in the 1880 census in the 20th district. The head of household is T.J. CLARK and his wife was Annie A. Their children were; Elizabeth born 1865 Thomas D. born 1867 James B. born 1869 Mary F. born 1871 Walter born 1874 Edward born 1878 James Benjamin is the one I am tracing. He married and had 5 sons in the Nashville, Tenn. area. He later met and Married Mary Mueller of Gasconade County, Missouri and was a ranch foreman for the Rankin Brothers of Tarkio, Missouri (Atchison County). They had 3 sons; John B. born 12-1918 Robert L. born circa 1921 William E. born 1-1923 James B. CLARK supposedly had an auto accident and died sometime in the 1940's. We know not when or where. We do not know where he is buried. My father-in-law (William E. CLARK) has never seen his father, and is now in his 70's and would like to see a picture of him, and maybe even know where he is buried.
