September and October 2002 Queries
Please follow these guidelines for sending your query:
- If your lines are not in Williamson County, please do not enter a query here.
- Your query must have a STATED Williamson or adjacent County connection, or it will not be posted. What is your connection with Williamson County or with connecting counties?
- Enter your query exactly as you want it to appear.
- Please put all SURNAMES in CAPS. It is easier to see them. Use full names, not just surnames.
- Include dates that you know. Approximate dates are fine. Names without dates are not very useful, and may not be posted.
- To get a better response and coverage to queries posted here, all queries are also posted to the Williamson County Mailing List (TNWILLIA). If you would like to join this list check it out on the main Williamson County site.
Note: Query pages within the TNGenWeb project are for those researchers requesting or offering assistance in tracing their lineage. The TNGenWeb volunteers are dedicated to providing this FREE online Internet genealogical Web Site for the general public. It is NOT the policy of TNGenWeb to charge you.
It has come to our attention that some folks, when answering a query, have been asking to be paid for research. We do recognize that it would be fair to be asked to be reimbursed for postage and photocopy costs. However, charging research fees for information pertaining to the original query would be questionable at best.
If anyone is asked to pay for any information, other than to cover the cost of postage and copying,
please let the State Coordinator know.

My great-great grandparents (William Ivy/Sallie Beard). They got
married in Williamson County on 1-22-1884. Their names show up on my
Great Grandmother Annie Ivy/Tomlin death certificate. Annie was born
in March of 1890 in Williamson County. I found an Annie on the 1900
census with her father William Ivey-although he was married to Nancy
at this time. I do not know what happened to Sallie Beard Ivy. I do
not know anything else about her. Additionally, I found a Sallie
Beard born in 1860 in Haywood county but can not find any other
information on her either. William Ivy (changed to Ivey) was 50%
American Indian and Sallie Beard was 100% Indian. We think Sallie
might have been Sallie Bear. Please help if you can. I have been
researching this for 7 years.
A Gratitude of thanks upfront.
Sincerely:
Deb Peters

It has been a year since I have posted any queries for my ancestors
so I am checking to see if there were any new information out there.
Here it goes:
I am looking for more information on Ezekiel P Wall, born 7/6/1841 or
1849. I have his death as in 1884 but this may be incorrect. He
married Mary "Frances" Walls. I have precious little information
about her. Ezekiel may or may not have been born in Williamson Co.
Here is the last information that I received from Dorris Douglas
(Williamson Co Library, Geneology): Did you type the death date
for Ezekial right or could that be 1904, '14, ' 24 etc., for we
found them in the 1900 census in Davidson County as Ezekial P.
Wall, wife Frances and sons Clark and Jesse. Living next door was
their daughter Ella P. and husband Felix Oden. Ezekial and Frances
had been married 32 years which does not match the birth date of
Ella P, so she could have been Frances'child by a previous marriage.

Part 2 of Previous Query on my Wall ancestors. Continuing with the
last information I have received from Dorris Douglass. Williamson Co
Library: Frances, in 1900 was the mother of 7 children, 3 living.
The other four are in the 1880 census. No Ed though, but any of the
boys Wilburn,Dorse,Henry or John could have had a middle name Ed.
The Civil War birth date you gave for Ezekial matches the 1900 (July
1841) and 1880 census (age 39). I also found the Azekle in the 1860
census but the age is eight years off and I just don't believe that
is your Ezekial. (I even checked the original on microfilm and it
clearly says age 11) If that was the case then he lied about his age
to get in the Civil War and continued to live the lie. I found a new
development. Ezekial's Civil War pension says he was born in Weakly
Co, which fits in with him being the Grandson of Clement who was in
Fayette County, directly south.
Again if any other subscriber has more information, I would love to
hear from you.
