I am looking for any information on Ellen DOTSON and William B.
BARKER who were married in Williamson County on October 1, 1834. My
ancestor, Telitha Lera BARKER (d. 1926 at 84 yrs.), has Billie BARKER
and Nellie DODSON listed as her parents on her death certificate.

Am looking for any info on bural location of Green H. SCONCE and
Matilda BOYD SCONCE, both from Williamson County, TN. Also looking
for any possibility of WILLs for either or both. He died before 1840,
they were mar. 1830 in Williamson Co. The last I know of her is in
the John PURCELL household in 1850 Davidson Co., TN census..
Would appreciate any help in getting confirmations that there are
Wills and where to send to obtain!

the 1850 Census. Wife Sarah Sally 45. He was from N. C. She was

Adelbert Jordan 17 Jan 1849-13 Jul 1925 reportedly joined a
Confederate Company in Williamson Co, Tn in 1864 when he was 15. Does
anyone have any more data on this?

I would like any information on the late Mary Sneed Jones and her
lineage...including if she is a direct decendent of James and
Bethania Sneed. I would also like any information about their
property, the old post office and any other historical Brentwood

Looking for any historical information, especially pictures, about
the property called "Valley View Farms" at the corner of Wilson Pike
and Old Smyrna Road. The house on the property was built by the Oden
family in 1901, and later housed Mary Jones Sneed. In the back, the
'original' Brentwood Post Office still stands. Any information about
the post office, uses of the property, or inhabitants would be very
appreciated.

Looking for parents of Karon SMITH 1811-1865 (m Thomas COOK
1835), Mary SMITH (married James COOK 1837), Eunice (or Unity)
SMITH (married Robert COOK), Simeon SMITH, and Ob (maybe Obidiah)
SMITH.
There is some evidence that the SMITHs lived near Nolensville. The
COOKs lived near Rock Springs just over the county line in Rutherford
Co TN; several moved to what became Crockett Co TN. The three COOK
men were brothers the sons of John Donaldson COOK.
Thomas COOK and Karon SMITH were my GRGRGrandparents.

Searching for parents of Jonathan McPHERSON, came to Williamson Co.
Tn 1812. Was in the War of 1812 and was killed Feb. 14, 1815 at the
Battle of New Orleans. Jonathan wife Hannah remarried June 4, 1816
to
Joshua BURNAM. Hannah died 1818.
Parents of James Andrew HUDGINS who married Nancy VAUGHAN. Nancy was
the daughter of Robert VAUGHAN. Do not know the mother's name.

I am looking for the birth of James J. Morgan born on July 7, 1848 in
North Columbia, TX (county seat of Maury). I am not sure of who his
father or mother is. I have traced a William B. Morgan and Louisa
Martha Huggans in the 1850 census in Giles Co-TN and believe he is
either their son or relative or adopted. At the library, I found the
information of birth referring it to Tree #2914. It directed me to a
family, Calvin Cogswell Morgan (KY). I would like to obtain a proof
of birth that might name his parents & where they are from. Is there
anyone or place that I can get this information. Thank you for your

I am looking for John James ROWLETT, b. abt. 1811 in Virginia but was
married in Williamson Co. TN around 1830. I believe maybe his
brothers or sisters were also married there. His father was believed
to to be Benjamin ROWLETT, wife Sarah ALLEN. Arrived in Texas in
1854. Am also looking for Wiley B. STONE b. abt. 1800. Left for
Texas in 1837. Any additional information on the ROWLETTs or STONEs

He married // LAWFORD. Their children include: John Buchanan SMITH II

Desire names, year of birth, etc. of all 18 children of John Gant who
died sometime after 1850 when he was listed in the census of
Williamson Co., TN for that year. John had Jeremiah, b. ca 1787 in
Orange Co., NC and probably Joel, b. 1789 in Orange Co., NC (Joel
married Sarah Phillips and they were in the 1820 census of Williamson
Co., TN but not found in any later record)by his first wife before
migrating to Canada with his second wife, Nancy Judge and his brother
Thomas (both adopted the surname of Ghent in Canada). Thomas remained
in Canada and raised a large family. John apparently had 6 more
children in Canada (including Camilla. ca. 1792) but returned to
Orange Co., NC after the death of his wife. In 1806, John married
Esther Lovens with whom he had 10 children whose names and vitals I
have (from his family bible).
All of this information and much more on the descendants of John Gant
(1713-1783) of Colonial VA and NC in a book about him published
earlier this year.

Reuben HICKS married Rebecca Simons BROOKS on May 18, 1824 in
Williamson Co. TN. One of their children was Reuben b. 1843 in TN.
They are still in Williamson Co on the 1850 Census.
Does anyone have any information on this family?
I am looking for my Ggrandfather, Reuben (Ruben) HICKS from TN.
