Queries

Please follow these guidelines for sending your
query:
- If your lines are not in Williamson County, please
do not enter a query here.
- Your query must have a STATED Williamson or adjacent County connection, or it will
not be posted. What is your connection with Williamson County or with
connecting counties?
- Enter your query exactly as you want it to appear.
- Please put all SURNAMES in CAPS. It is easier to see them. Use full
names, not just surnames.
- Include dates that you know. Approximate dates are fine. Names without
dates are not very useful, and may not be posted.
- To get a better response and coverage to queries posted here, as of
September 15, 1999, all queries will also be posted to the Williamson County
Mailing List (TNWILLIA).
In your research of queries, don't forget to check out the queries that were
posted during the previous months. Links to them are at the bottom of this query
page. Queries start with May 1998.
Note: Query pages within the TNGenWeb project are for those researchers
requesting or offering assistance in tracing their lineage. The TNGenWeb
volunteers are dedicated to providing this FREE online Internet genealogical
Web Site for the general public. It is NOT the policy of TNGenWeb to charge
you.
It has come to our attention that some folks, when answering a query, have
been asking to be paid for research. We do recognize that it would be fair to
be asked to be reimbursed for postage and photocopy costs. However, charging
research fees for information pertaining to the original query would be
questionable at best.
If anyone is asked to pay for any information, other than to cover the cost of
postage and copying, please let the State
Coordinator know.
Debra Eaton I have information for you on your Garrett line, Wills
and more, Michael and Fanny, get in touch with me.

Looking for the children's names/birthdates of James B. SCOTT. James
B. SCOTT died in Williamson County, TN in 1832. The Inventory of his
estate is on file in Franklin and lists his wife's name as "Polly",
but fails to name his children's names. Also am looking for the
heirs of Thomas Scott, also of Williamson County. His will is on
record in Franklin, but I do not have a copy of it. He apparently
died in the early 1800s, too. Thank you. Larry Scott (Tyler, TX)

I need to verify that Thomas LANCASTER, born between 1809-1819, was
the son of David LANCASTER & Nancy REDFORD, all of Williamson county.
There was 5 duaghters and 3 sons that are known for sure. Is Thomas
possibly the middle name of Samuel LANCASTER ??? Samuel seems to
have disappeared after 1820, which would be consistent with Thomas
moving to Arkansas at some point abt the 1840's. Thomas married Mary
TIGNER/TIGNOR around the same time. Any help or suggestions
Please..!! Anything on the TIGNER/TIGNOR family is needed also
