Note: Query pages within the TNGenWeb project are for those researchers requesting or offering assistance in tracing their lineage. The TNGenWeb volunteers are dedicated to providing this FREE online Internet genealogical Web Site for the general public. It is NOT the policy of TNGenWeb to charge you.

It has come to our attention that some folks, when answering a query, have been asking to be paid for research. We do recognize that it would be fair to be asked to be reimbursed for postage and photocopy costs. However, charging research fees for information pertaining to the original query would be questionable at best.

If anyone is asked to pay for any information, other than to cover the cost of postage and copying,
please let the State Coordinator know.

THOMAS HENDRIX's Will was written Oct 1819 in Williamson Co. TN in which he named his following children: Adam Hendrix; Nancy Hill; Ruth Jackson; Thomas Hendrix(Jr.); & Isaac Hendrix. He also named his wife, Mary Hendrix and her son, John McCord, who is called step-son of Thomas Hendrix. From Williamson Co. TN marriage records, I know that Nancy Hendricks married William Hill on 8 Jul 1811; Ruth Hendricks married Thomas Jackson on 10 Aug 1813; & Adam Hendricks married Polly Jackson on 25 Apr 1815. Does anyone know who signed & witnessed Thomas Hendrix's Will and know of any other surnames associated with his Estate? I believe Thomas Hendrix was the s/o Adam Miller Hendrix who died in Shrewsbury Twp., York Co. PA in 1788. An Administration Bond for AMH's estate was signed by Isaac Hendrix, Adam Hendrix, & Thomas Sparks. Witnesses to this bond & his inventory were: Joshua Low, David Long, & Thomas Sparks. Does anyone know what happened to Mary Hendrix, the widow & her son, John McCord ?
