Queries

Please follow these guidelines for sending your
query:
- If your lines are not in Williamson County, please
do not enter a query here.
- Your query must have a STATED Williamson or adjacent County connection,
or it will not be posted. What is your connection with Williamson County or
with connecting counties?
- Enter your query exactly as you want it to appear.
- Please put all SURNAMES in CAPS. It is easier to see them. Use full
names, not just surnames.
- Include dates that you know. Approximate dates are fine. Names without
dates are not very useful, and may not be posted.
- To get a better response and coverage to queries posted here, all queries
are also posted to the Williamson County Mailing List (TNWILLIA). If you
would like to join this list check it out on the main Williamson County site.
In your research of queries, don't forget to check out the queries that were
posted during the previous months. Links to them are at the bottom of this query
page. Queries start with January 1999.
Note: Query pages within the TNGenWeb project are for those researchers
requesting or offering assistance in tracing their lineage. The TNGenWeb
volunteers are dedicated to providing this FREE online Internet genealogical
Web Site for the general public. It is NOT the policy of TNGenWeb to charge
you.
It has come to our attention that some folks, when answering a query, have
been asking to be paid for research. We do recognize that it would be fair to
be asked to be reimbursed for postage and photocopy costs. However, charging
research fees for information pertaining to the original query would be
questionable at best.
If anyone is asked to pay for any information, other than to cover the cost of
postage and copying, please let the State
Coordinator know.
