At the BATTLE OF THOMPSON'S STATION in 1863 a savage battle raged from the Confederate lines to the Union lines, which were entrenched on the cedar-covered hill on the northwest end of Homestead Manor,

But today Homestead Manor still stands, Long Live the South!!!!
