Date Recorded:
Sunday, December 20, 1998.

Location: In the Trinity-Peytonsville Road area, Williamson County. Cemetery is on private property, located on a hill several hundred feet behind a house. The house was once the home of Henry Simmons and his wife, Lena Elizabeth Beech. It is now the home of Douglas O. Johnson and his wife, Brenda Bruce--the granddaughter of Henry and Lena.

This cemetery has been well tended and is enclosed by a white wooden fence. Close by is the Crafton Cemetery which is in the edge of the woods, on a hill overlooking the old Hethcock-Crafton farmhouse. It is also on private property. The road to the cemetery and house is barely passable.

Note #1:
These 5 headstones are very small markers set into the ground. They are probably fairly recent stones that were purchased to mark the graves of family members who died while still children. In any case, apparently the old markers were unreadable or simply not there.

Note #2:
Henry W. and Mike Simmons were brothers, and their parents were Obe W. and Margaret A.S.Simmons- -all buried here in the family cemetery. Also, Hattie Simmons Bruce-who is still living-is the daughter of Henry W. and Lena B. Simmons, and the widow of James H. Bruce--all of whom are buried here.
