DUNN

Looking for a way to see if there are any orphan or other related records from 1820s or 1830s that can identify a parent child relationship? I know there was early record loss, but just curious if there was a alternative way to find them. I'm trying to find a James Dunn born abt. 1826, and Larkin (pehaps listed as William Larkin) Dunn born abt. 1835 both in White County, Tennessee. The birth location is based on their Civil War records, served in Company C KY 3rd Cavalry (Union).

HASTING(S)

Page 18, Sparta Expositor souvenir edition says 6 miners were killed in 1st 15 yrs of Bon Air mining. Are there any records that show these miner's names? My g-grandfather Will Hasting(s) was supposedly killed in a mine accident in 1896. His wife was Sarah Huddleston; had a daughter Maggie (age 16) and twin boys William (my grandfather) and Wilburn (age 8). Sarah died two yrs later in 1898. Kids then moved to Murfreesboro and are in 1900 census of Rutherford Co. Also trying to find out how they got moved. Maggie is shown as head of household with her son James (age 4) and Wilburn (age 13). William is shown as Lodger with Ambrose Crass family. Also looking for a marriage record for William Hasting(s) and Sarah Huddleston.
