North Carolina being the same land Where on John McEthing situated in location $315 Cove 1 White pole 1 back poll.
Joseph Denney 25 acres land past oak Creek 1 white poll tax 34 1/2 It is therefore considered by the Court that
the State of Tennessee and County of White recover against the Overseer of the
aforesaid several tracts of land the full amount of the taxes respectfuely due
there upon and that the aforesaid several tracts of lands be condemed in
satisfaction of the tax coat and charges due there upon and that the same be
public held as required by law in the Knoxville Grantee setting forth that the
same will be sold for the tax respectivly there upon or so much thereof as
shall be value sufficient to satisfy the same.
Ordered by Court that contingent credit be exhibited to
Isaac Taylor Esqr. Sheriff of White County in payment of the State tax for the
sum of seven dollars 87 1/2 cents in the payment of the poor and County tax for
the eight dollars 37 cents taxes due upon certain lands reported for the taxes
for the year 1816 and that the said be received by the different treasure
&c.
Ordered that Isaac Taylor Esqr. be allowed a final credit
with the State treasure in the payment of tax for the year 1816. For the sum of one dollar 23 1/4 cents and
with the County treasure for the sum of one dollars 23 1/4 cents consequence of
Sundry delinquents who became insolvent and failed to pay taxes for said year. Which is to be good in settlement &c.
James Townsend, Isaac Medkiff, Anthony Dibrell, Ely Sims, James Simpson was this day appointed Com. to make the division and portition of the tract of alnd of 1000 acres claims by Isaac Taylor and Andrew Townsend &c. pursuant to an order
