            Ordered by Court that John Parker be appointed Overseer of the road from James H. Pass's to Matthew Englands being a road of the second Class and keep the same in repair as the law requires and that John Pennington Esq. assign a list of hands to work thereon.

 

            Iss'd.  This day Joel Mooneyham produced in open Court three wolf scalps under the age of four months and proved that they were killed in the county of White whereupon there being present five acting Justices of the peace for said County it is ordered that they be certified to the Treasure of Tennessee for payment and that the Sherriff of White County burn said scalps who being present in the Court received said scalps into his Custody and acted accordingly.

 

            Iss'd.  Ordered by Court that the following persons be allowed the following sums of money in the case of the state of Tennessee against Robert Dudley on an Indictment for malicias mischief in White Circuit Court which has been examined by the attorney General and by him certified to be correct and properly chargable to the County of White To wit:

 

            William R. Tucker Jailor the sum of $59.50/100 William G. Sims Clerk $193 3/4 Justices Sims Dearing and David Snodgrass $0.50.  Constable Joseph England $1.25  Witness Henry Nash $2.00.  Witness John Weaver $1.75 and Witness Jeremiah Williams $2.50/1000 to be paid by the Trustee of White County out of any monies not otherwise appropriated.

 

            Iss'd.  Ordered by Court that William Glenn (Merchant) be allowed the sum of Thirty Dollars for Record books furnished by him for the Circuit Court of White County to be paid by the Sherriff of White County out of the Taxes of the year 1836.

 

            The Court proceeded to appoint an Entry taken for the County of White to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of John H. Anderson Esq. and to that office do appoint Jacob A. Lane Esq. Who being present in open Court took an oath to support the Constitution of the United States and of the State of Tennessee and the oath of office and together with William Bruster, Nicholas Oldham, and William G. Sims entered into and acknowledged bond in the sum of Ten thousand dollars conditioned as the law requires.

 

            Iss'd.  Ordered by Court that William Knowles, and Joshua Mason Esquires be appointed to divide and apportion list of hands between Harmon Little and Joseph McDaniels Overseer of the road and report to the next term of this Court.

 

            This day Susannah Duncan adminestrix of the estate of William Duncan deceased returned upon oath a list of sales of the property of the deceased which is ordered to be recorded.

 

            Ordered by Court that William Erwin be released from the payment of the tax on One White poll for the year 1836 he being over age.
