The posting of this Minute Book is transcribed from a transcription done by the WPA project in the early 1930s.  The WPA transcription was typed from another transcription done in 1836 by N. Oldham, the Transcriber and Clerk of the County Court of White County:

In obedience to an order of the worshipful County Court of White County made at their October Term Anno Domini 1836, appointing the undersigned Transcriber for the purpose therein particularly specified.  I Nicholas Oldham Transcriber and clerk of the County Court of White County aforesaid, Do hereby Certify that the Record on the foregoing pages in my own proper handwriting is a true transcript of the original records now remaining in the Clerks office of the County Court of said County Given under my hand and Seal in Sparta, Tennessee the first day of July Anno. Domini 1837.
