The Gallaher Cemetery is located east of the Natchez Trace Parkway northeast of Collinwood, Tennessee. To reach the cemetery turn east off the parkway just south of the Lower Glenrock rest area. Turn onto Glen Rock Rd. aka (Factory Creek Rd.) (Co. Rd. 1767 and travel 1 mile. The cemetery is on the left of the road. There are about one half dozen unknown graves here. One grave has a stone with what appears to have information etched into the stone, however it is not legible. This enumeration is current as of 27 January 2011.

Shiloh/Double Branches Cemetery #176

The Shiloh/Double Branches Cemetery lies in the extreme eastern end of Wayne County, Tennessee in the West Point Quadrangle. The cemetery is still occasionally used for new burials. Approximately 100 yards past the cemetery is the Double Branch School building that was once used as a polling place. The building also has the appearance of being a church at some point in time.
To reach the Shiloh/Double Branches Cemetery, from the Westpoint TN area, turn off of Wayland Springs Rd. #242 west of Westpoint onto Collinwood Road #912. Collinwood Rd. will become California Branch Rd. upon entering Wayne County. Travel 3.8 miles after turning off Wayland Springs Rd. and turn right onto Factory Creek Rd. Continue 1.8 miles on Factory Creek Rd. after crossing the Douglas McGee Memorial Bridge and turn left onto Shawnettee/Factory Creek Rd., a dirt road. Travel on Shawnette/Factory Creek Rd. a distance of .2 miles, crossing the John Dixon Memorial Bridge. After crossing the bridge, turn right and continue following the Factory Creek Rd. for a distance of .7 miles. Turn left onto Double Branch Rd. and travel .6 miles and turning sharp left onto a narrow dirt road, go approximately .1 mile crossing a branch or creek. The cemetery is on the left of the road.
Alternate Route: From Collinwood, Tennessee, travel east on Railroad Bed Rd. from the Natchez Trace overpass 1.4 miles and turn left onto Shawnettee Rd. Go about .3 miles and turn right onto Big Shawnettee Rd. Travel approximately 7 miles and turn left onto Factory Creek Rd. a dirt road. Follow Factory Creek Rd. for a distance of .7 miles. Turn left onto Double Branch Rd. and travel .6 miles and turning sharp left onto a narrow dirt road, go approximately .1 mile crossing a branch or creek. The cemetery is on the left of the road.

To reach the cemetery, travel west from Wayland Springs Road near West Point, Tennessee on Collinwood Road/California Branch Road for approximately 3.5 miles. Or, from Collinwood, Tennessee, travel Railroad Bed Rd. east for approximately 4.5 miles and turn left onto California Branch Rd. Go approximately 4.7 miles to the cemetery on the left beside the church.

Boshear or Gallaher Cemetery #178
GPS Location: 35° 09? 27?N, 87° 34? 51?W
LOCATION: From the Westpoint, Tennessee area, turn off onto Collinwood Rd./California Branch Rd. and travel for approximately 3.3 miles. Turn right onto the Jack Nelson/Johnson Hollow Rd., a dirt road. Travel approximately .3 miles to the cemetery on the right of the road. It was the former Floyd Nelson farm now owned by Jack Nelson. Mr. Nelson presently takes care of the cemetery. The property was formerly owned by the Boshear family. This cemetery is no longer in use and there are many unmarked graves here. This cemetery is on the Wayne/Lawrence County line. There are 2 graves in the Nelson yard that once were marked with field stones, however those grave locations have been lost. The two graves were reported to be Tuckers, a father and son. According to sources, the son was killed in the battle of Shiloh. The Tuckers were the original owners of this land, later owned by the Boshears, Gallahers, and Nelsons. This farm was in Lawrence County until Mr. Gallaher owned it and he had it changed to Wayne County in order to keep from paying railroad taxes, according to legend by the late Floyd Nelson.

* This stone was in the attic in Floyd Nelson's home. C.H. McCrory bought the tombstone for his daughter's grave, but when the stone arrived, he had forgotten the location of the grave and never erected it. The home is now owned by Jack Nelson and the headstone still remains in the attic of the home in the original shipping crate.

LOCATION: About 2 miles east of the Natchez Trace on Factory Creek at Jay McWilliams house. House was once a church house.
Mr. George McGee, and also a lady living near the cemetery stated that the remains of Thomas A. Kelly & Freemon F. Kelly were moved from the Kelly Cemetery #231 to the Gallaher Cemetery #175 about two years ago. As I understand it, that leaves no graves at the Kelly Cemetery site. - David Montgomery (7 Dec 2008)

Woodard Dial Cemetery
Established 1885
The Woodard/Dial Cemetery is located in the West Point Quadrangle. To reach the cemetery, turn east off the Natchez Trace Parkway onto Glen Rock Road aka Factory Creek Road. Turn off the parkway just south of the Lower Glenrock rest area. Travel 1 mile and turn right. Following Factory Creek Road, travel 2 miles and turn right onto a narrow road up a hill. Travel .2 miles and the cemetery is on the right beside the road. This cemetery has previously been known as the Dial Cemetery. However, the sign implies that it is the Woodard/Dial Cemetery. There are three graves here marked only with fieldstones.
