No record found in National Archives. Claim book stated that Andrew J. WADE died 15 Dec 1863, but this cannot be correct since he didn't enlist until 10 Feb 1864. No further information. Additional information: According to information copied from the family Bible of John D. Wade by my grandmother (John Wade's granddaughter) Andrew J. Wade died 3 Jan 1865 in the Confederate prison in Danville, VA.  He is buried in the military section of  a cemetery in Danville, VA.  He was captured in the Battle of Spring Hill TN and died of smallpox in prison.
