HALL

HALL, John Frank. Born about 1828. Mother Lucretia, Brother James and Sister Jane. Can't find Father's first name. He was born in N.C. He seems to have disappeared from the family around 1830. John Frank is who I'm descended from. He married Lucinda DAVIS (looking for her parents too, her mother's maiden name SCOTT) in 1866, they had four children: Marion Franklin, Rose Ann (my gr.gr.grandmother), James Ella (female) and Edwin. The family moved to Pinckneyville, IL Our families oral history is that the HALL family was given land per a grant from King George. My dad says the land was in Wayne, TN. I've learned grants from the king came before the time that HALL came to TN. So maybe the grant goes back the next generation and was in N.C. Jenny Williams, 25 President Drive, O'Fallon, MO 63368. Thank you for your help.

HARDIN, HARPER

Has anyone been successful in finding the father of Lewis Hardin, b. 1798 in NC; died 1857 in Wayne County. I have been to Wayne County to research and have met Hardin relatives, but at that time the parentage of Lewis Hardin was unknown. I have looked at the Hardin DNA Project online, but can't figure out if my line has been tested. Lewis Hardin married Margaret Harper, and I have been unsuccesful in tracing her lineage also. My descent from this couple is through John P. Hardin who married Amy Olive Copeland. Any help with this search is greatly appreciated.

WILSON, TOLLE, BARNETT

looking for my gggrandfather, William R. WILSON, husband of Sarah Josephine BARNETT, daughter of John May BARNETT SR. William and Josephine had 3 daughters, one is my ggrandmother Tennessee Wilson TOLLE the other two are Ann E. and Sarah C. He could be the son of John G C WILSON and Martha M. Hill as indicated by the 1850 Census for wayne co. 1860 Census list Josephine and daughters at the home of Lavine BARNETT and then a marriage of Josepine and N.B. Skillern so it is believed William died between 1850 and 1860 and at an early age as Josephine was listed as 31 in the 1860 census. Would appreciate and help in tracing William R.WILSON.Josephine may use the name Josepine, Sarah or Jane. Would also welcome an info on Tennessee's two sisters mentioned above. Thanks
