Beulah Carr - JONESBOROUGH
Beulah M. Carr, age 84, 169 Dogwood Village Rd., Jonesborough, died Friday, March 12, 2004, at the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Carr was a Johnson City native and the daughter of the late Hobart Erie and Sarah Nora Ellen Hyder Smith. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Carr was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Charles Wayne Hutchins.
Survivors include her husband, Robert William ³Bob² Carr; three sons, Dennis R. Carr, Telford, Lewis M. Carr, Jonesborough, and Cyrus R. Carr, Johnson City; four daughters, Mickey Isenburg, Kinston, NC, Marilyn Knight, Michie, TN, Jo Ellen Bengert, Tampa, FL, and Robin Carr, Johnson City; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service for Mrs. Carr will be conducted Sunday, March 14, 2004, at 3:30 PM in the East Chapel of the Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. John Isenburg, Rev. Ken Kyker and Rev. Darrell Slagle officiating. The graveside committal service will be held Monday, March 15, 2004, at 11:00 AM in Carr Cemetery, Johnson City. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 until 3:30 PM in the East Parlor of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cherry Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 104 Cherry Grove Rd, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
Appalachian Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 800 E. Watauga Ave., is serving the Carr family.
