- The Warren County Historical Commission came into existence 23 January 1995 for the six-fold purpose of:
1. Encourage and support research into the county's history and pre-history.
2. Apply for and administer such state or federal historical research and preservation grants as may become available.
3. Promote the preservation of historically significant materials, including artifacts and the spoken or written word as well as photographs, drawings and electronic recordings.
4. Offer its specialized resources and co-ordination services to individuals, groups or institutions performing local research.
5. Stimulate interest in our history among the general populace.
6. Offer leadership and material support for the study of Warren County history in our schools.

Three local genealogists/historians, Alemita Cunningham, Martha Holt, and Betty M. Majors have jointly produced the first three volumes of an ongoing series on the interments in Warren County. Betty is currently doing compiling, editing, and the data entry for Volume IV. You may find the published volumes at the Magness Library in McMinnville and in other regional libraries. You may contact Betty Moore Majors about the availability of published volumes, especially Vol. III,. Libraries take note: Betty has a limited supply of hardbound Vol's I, II, and III. Also, you may try Byron Sistler, a Nashville bookseller of Tennessee genealogical subjects. He has some soft bound copies.Correlations
