Newsman Dies Of Wreck Injuries; Rites In Ohio
A Willard, Ohio, news circulation manager, husband of a former McMinnville girl, died unexpected in a hospital there Tuesday morning at 1:30 o’clock as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident two weeks ago. Succumbing to the wreck injuries was Robert J. (Bob) Wolfe, 31, husband of the former Miss Marie Farless, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Farless of McMinnville. Mr. Wolfe, who operated a circulation bureau for several Ohio daily Newspapers, was injured in a two-car collision on October 8 as he and two friends were enroute to a football game in Willard. At the time of the accident he was described as the least injured of the trio, however he had been confirmed to the hospital since that time. Reports received here recently indicated that Mr. Wolfe was showing marked improvement, however he became worse late Monday afternoon and died shortly thereafter. He was a native of Ohio, having resided in Willard all of his life where he was in business with a brother. Mr. and Mrs. Farless, parents of Mrs. Wolfe, and her brother Leonard Farless left McMinnville early Tuesday morning to be with their daughter and sister. Funeral services for Mr. Wolfe are incomplete, but will take place in Willard.Southern Standard, McMinnville, TN, Thursday, Oct. 22 1953, p. 1.
