Mt. Zion Rites For Mr. Wilcher
Funeral rites for R.H. (Bob) Wilcher, who died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. J.J. Pope, on Red Road, Wednesday morning, were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Mt Zion Methodist Church. Rev. James H. Ramsey, pastor of Madison Street Baptist Church, and Judge R.W. Smartt officiated and burial was in Mt. Zion cemetery. Mr. Wilcher, native of Warren county, was born January 1, 1870. He was a son of Archie and Elizabeth Pepper Wilcher and he was married May 11, 1896 to Miss Allie Reynolds. She died 19 years ago. A member of the Church of Christ and last surviving member of his family, Mr. Wilcher had made his home with his daughter since his wife's death. Besides Mrs. Pope, he is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Jonah Brown, Viola, six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews. WILCHER, Zora Mae (circa 1905 - 1970)
Zora Wilcher
Mrs. Zora Mae Wilcher, 65-year-old resident of the Shady Rest community, died un- expectedly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frankie Wright, Route 4, McMinnville, at 7 p.m. Friday.
A native of Van Buren County, she was first married to the late Lester Montandon and later to Lester Wilcher, who survives. Mrs. Wilcher was a member of the Church of God and a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Tezie Ann Johnson Bryant.
Besides her husband and Mrs. Wright, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. Jackquline Templeton, McMinnville; two sons, Lester Montandon, Elkhart, Ind., and G. L. Wilcher, McMinnville; five sisters, Mrs. Lorene Williamson, McMinnville; Mrs. R.J. Grissom, Spencer; Mrs. Mattie Dodson, Doyle; Mrs. Ora Ramsey, Morrison, and Mrs. William Sparkman, Birmingham, Ala., 12 grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. David Lambert at Locust Street Church of God at 4 p.m. Sunday, burial following in Mt. View cemetery. High's Inc., was in charge of arrangements.

WILLIAMS, Mary Burton (1862-1947)
Mrs. Mary Williams Buried In Arizona
Mrs. Mary Burton Williams, formerly of McMinnville and a resident of Phoeniz, Ariz. For 18 years died September 15 inthe Good Samaritan hospital after a week's illness. She was 75 years of age. Funeral sevices were held at 2 o'clock, September 16, from the Memory chapel of A.L. Moore and Sons. The Reverends S.S. Bussell and Charles S. Kendall officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood Memorial Park. Mrs. Williams was born in McMinnville November
7, 1862, and went to Phoenix 18 years ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church and active in church affairs. Survivors include a son, L. H. "Bill" Williams of Phoenix; 3 daughters, Mrs. Ida Bess, Mrs. H. R. Etter and Mrs. Sam Lynn, all of Phoenix; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lucy Barnes of Wenatchi, Washington, and Mrs. Janie Lockhart of Palmer and 5 grandchildren.Southern Standard, McMinnville, TN. WILLIAMS, Vesta (circa 1912 - 1967)
Mrs. Vesta Williams, 55-year-old resident of Route 1, Morrison died Monday in Warren General Hospital after a two day illness. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Gallilee Primative Baptist Church in Shelbyville with burial following in Mullins Chapel Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Wallace Williams, one brother, H.D. Arnold, Route 5, McMinnville, and a sister Mrs. Minnie Turner, Florida. High Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.

Local Woman's Rites Thursday
Funeral rites for Mrs. Arlie Bain Williamson, 60, were conducted Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Church of God, corner Sparta and Warren streets. Rev. Calvin C.Wigley and Rev. A.R. Parker officiated and burial was in Mt. View cemetery. Mrs. Williamson, wife of H.J. Williamson, retired farmer, died at Medical Clinic Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. She had been ill three months. A native of White county, Mrs. Williamson was born June 23, 1892. She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bain and was a member of the Church of God. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lester Rogers and Mrs. Geneva Dykes, and one son, Orville Gooch, all of McMinnville; four brothers, Douglas Bain, Sparta., Will, Kay and Matthew Bain, White county. Mrs. Williamson, 35, Dies; Rites At Jericho
Mrs. Lillian Pearl Williamson, 35, wife of Charles Williamson, died March 31 at her home in Lebanon, after an illness of two years. Funeral services were held Thursday morning at 11 o’clock at Jericho with John W. High officiating. Burial was in the Jericho cemetery. A native of White county, Mrs. Williamson was born July 30, 1917, she was a daughter of Joe H. Denton and Eva Galloway Denton and she was married to Mr. Williamson 18 years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her husband she is survived by six children, Shirley Ann, Joseph, Norm Evelyn, Barbara June, Robert Dwight and Charles Williamson, Jr. all of Lebanon. Mrs. D.J. Willis Dies In California; Rites Conducted there Monday
Mrs. Eleanor Willis, wife of D.J. Willis, formerly of Viola, died in a San Diego, Calif., hospital Friday, following an illness of five months. Funeral services and burial took place there on Monday. A native

Alex Wilson, Retired Laborer, Dies At Home
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the chapel of High Funeral Home for Alex Wilson, retired laborer, who died the previous day at his home on Needmore street. Mr. Wilson died Tuesday at 3:30 a.m. He was 84. Vestal Chaffin, minister of the East End Church of Christ, officiated and burial was in the Vervilla cemetery. Native of Cannon county, Mr. Wilson was born June 12, 1866. He was a son of Walter Wilson and Rosselle Wilson and he was married to Miss Mary Pelham. She survives. He was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Alex Wilson, Jr., Harvey Wilson and Fred Wilson; two daughters, Mrs. Virgil Taylor and Mrs. Jim Hobbs, all of McMinnville; three half-brothers, Walter Wilson, Detroit, Mich., Irving and Jessie Wilson, both of Shelbyville. WILSON, Claudette Gardner (circa 1935 - 2006)
Claudette Gardner Wilson, 764 Cook Road, Tullahoma, TN died after a brief illness Saturday, April 15, 2006, after suffering a stroke at her home. She was 70 years old. A native of Warren County, Mrs. Wilson was a retired city judge in Tullahoma. She was married to Deaderick Wilson, who survives, and was the daughter of the late Brown Ramsey Gardner and Hallie Crawford Gardner formerly of McMinnville. She was the sister of the late Urban S. Gardner, Omaha, NE. In addition to her husband she is survived by a sister Brownie Gardner Marshall, Tullahoma; a son, Matthew A. Wilson, Manchester, TN; a daughter, Mrs. Ramona Wilson Hensley of Tullahoma; and two grandchildren. Services were at Tullahoma Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Hice officiating. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tullahoma.

William H. Wilson Dies In Chattanooga
William Hobart (Ham) Wilson, 45, native of Warren county, died Friday in a Chattanooga hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Ridgedale Church of Christ with Howard Horton officiating and burial was in Greenwood cemetery there. Mr. Wilson, manager of the dye department fo O.B. Andrews Company, was born October 12, 1897 in Warren county. His parents were Mr. and Mrs. Joe E. Wilson and for the past 28 years he had resided in Chattanooga. He was a a member of the Church of Christ and a leader in labor affairs in Chattanooga, serving as vice-president of the Printing Specialties and Paper Products Union No. 394. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Marrkum Wilson; a son and daughter and two grandchildren. Also four sisters, Mrs. W.A. Bishop, Winchester, Mrs. Betty Deberry, Chattanooga, Mrs. Grady Tanner and Mrs. Asa Howard, McMinnville, and three brothers, Herman, McKinley and J.E. WINNETT, Alice Holder (1881-1952)
Mrs. Alice Winnett Dies Of Illness
Mrs. Alice Winnett, 70, widow of J.N. Winnett, died at the residence of Mrs. Clara Stewart in the 11th district of the county Tuesday at midnight. She had been ill for about a month.
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning. At 11 o'clock at the Centertown Church of Christ. John W. High officiated and burial was in Centertown cemetery.
Mrs. Winnett was a native of Warren county, born November 25, 1881. She was a daughter of King Holder and Lee Ann Adcock Holder and she was married to Mr. Winnett, who preceded her in death three years ago. Her husband was a well known Centertown citizen and represented the 11th district in the County Court for a number of years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to her
sister, Mrs. Winnett is survived by two brothers, W. Floyd Holder and Bob Holder, both of Daylight.

Mrs. Eliza Florence Winnett, 63, died at her home in the 11th district Sunday morning at 1:45 o'clock. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Pleasant Hill church with John W. High officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs Winnett, wife of W. C. WINNETT, Herbert (circa 1915-1982)
Herbert Winnett, 67-year-old resident of Sparta, succumbed to an extended illness in the White county Community Hospital there Monday. A native of White County and member of the Baptist Church, he was a farmer by occupation. He was married to the former Essie Burgess, who survives. In addition to his wife he is survived by a son and three daughters, Carlos Winnett of Michigan, Marie Gentry and Wanda Plum of Indiana, Joyce Green of Sparta; two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Willie Rice of McMinnville, Mrs. Della Parker and John Winnett of Sparta and Haskell Winnett of Dayton, Ohio. WINNETT, Jesse N. (1886-1949)
J.N. Winnett, Former Court Member Dies
Jesse N. Winnett, a member of the Warren county Court for a number of years, died at his home near Centertown Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. He suffered a stroke of paralysis about 11 o'clock Sunday morning and until that time had apparently been in good health. He was 62 years of age. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Bates Hill C.P. church with John W. High officiating. Burial was in the Blues Hill cemetery. Mr. Winnett was a Warren county native, born January 14, 1886. He was a son of Frank Winnett and Mattie Emeling Gilley Winnett and was married to the former Miss Alice Holder, who survives. The deceased represented the 11th district in the county court for two terms and also had farming interests near Centertown. He had recently been engaged in the grocery business. Besides his wife, Mr. Winnett is survived by three brothers, Willie Winnett, and Alex Winnett of Centertown and Adam

W. C. Winnett, 70, Dies At Residence
Willie C. Winnett, 70, retired Centertown farmer, died at his home Tuesday afternoon at 4:30 o’clock, following an illness of three months. Funeral rites will be conducted this (Thursday) afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at Bethany Church of Christ. W.J. McElroy, minister, and John W. High will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Mr. Winnett was a native and lifelong resident of Warren county, born May 18, 1883. His parents were Frank Winnett and Emma Gilly Winnett and he was first married to Miss Eliza Holder, who died February 15, 1948. He was married July 25, 1949 to Mrs. Lyda McGregor Smith, who survives. Besides his wife, Mr. Winnett is survived by three sons, Robert, Warren G., and Willie T. Winnett, and three daughters, Mrs. John Underhill, Mrs. Willis Wilson and Miss Hattie Marie Winnett, all of Centertown, and a brother, O.A. Winnett, Daylight. High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

WINTON, Jessie Mae Rhea
Ill for the past year, Mrs. Jessie Mae Winton, 82-year-old resident of Route 2, Morrison, died at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Warren County General Hospital. A member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, she was a native of Grundy County and a daughter of the late William and Novella McCasslin Rhea. She was wed Dec. 27, 1919 to U.S. Winton who preceded her in death Dec. 12, 1972. She is survived by three sons and five daughters, Billy Keith, Charles Kenneth and James Carlton Winton, all of Michigan, Mrs. Inez Fults and Miss Jane Winton of Route 2, Morrison, Mrs. Josephine Scott of Route 12, McMinnville, Mrs. Newton Wright of California, and Mrs. Joyce Bosswell of Maysville, Ga. She is also survived by a brother, Claude Rhea of Route 2, Morrison, 21 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. Willard Brown and Jerry Mayo will conduct services in Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, the date and time to be announced by High Funeral Home. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
