Manchester resident and native Minnie Evelyn Jones Bogle, 77, died Jan. 2 at Manchester Medical Center after an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Coffee County, she was the daughter of the late Robbie Jackson and Martha Azlane Harmon Jones. She is survived by her husband, William Allen Bogle; three sons, Robert and James Bogle of McMinnville and William Bogle of Manchester; one daughter, Mary Loy Eaton of Manchester; four brothers, Wayne and Paul Jones of Manchester, William Jones of Michigan City, Ind., and Wendell Jones of Washington; two sisters, Edna Ruth Mason of Michigan City, Ind., and Laurene Merriman of St. Louis, Mo.; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services were held Tuesday at Coffee County Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Hubbard officiating. Burial followed at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Coffee County. Coffee County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Max Hyder's Grandmother Dies: Rites Held Saturday
Funeral services for Mrs. Rachelle Whiteaker Bohannon, 86, who died Friday at 2 p.m. at a Sparta nursing home, were held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at Poplar Grove Baptist Church in Putnam county. Rev. J.H. Robinson officiated and burial was in Campbell-Bohannon cemetery. Mrs. Bohannon was the grandmother of Max Hyder, operator of a shoe repair shop here. She was a native of Putnam county and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters. Mrs. C.M. Hyder, Sparta, and Mrs. Rastus Phy, Detroit, Mich.; two sons, Jeff Bohannon, Cookville, and Kelly Bohannon, Dewitt, Ark. Also one brother, Jeff Whiteaker, Sparta.

Austin Herbert Bond
Powermatic employee Austin Herbert Bond, 54-year-old resident of the Lucky community, died unexpectedly in Warren County General Hospital last Thursday. A native of this county, he was married to the former Julia Elizabeth Jones, who survives, and was a son of John Herbert Bond and the late Mrs. Bessie Davenport Bond. Besides his wife and father, he is survived by three sons and a daughter, Gary, Kenneth and Terry Bond and Mrs. Annette M Bride, all of McMinnville; a brother, Robert Bond, also of this city and four grandchildren. The Revs. Ruel Fincher and Lester Flatt conducted funeral rites in Providence Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Saturday, interment following in Bethlehem Cemetery. Mrs. John Lee Bond Dead
Mrs. Lockie Bond, widow of the late John Lee Bond, age 68 years, died Sunday afternoon at the home of Mr. And Mrs. Lem Medley, with whom she has made her home. Funeral services were held at the Medley home on Wednesday afternoon and burial was in the Puckett Cemetery in Smithville. Surviving her are nine children, all of whom were here for the funeral: five sons - Mat, and John Bond of Detroit Mich.; Walter and Miller of Kentucky, and Lute Bond of Sand Spring, Okla.; four daughters - Mrs. Della May Redmon and Mrs. Frank Watson, her mother, Mrs. J.M. Snow of Collinsville, Texas; two sisters Mrs. T.B. Webb, Sr. and Mrs. C.D. Hall of Smithville, and two brothers - Rev. Sylvanius Snow and Hiram Snow of Texas. Robert Armstrong Bond, 62
Lucky community resident Robert Armstrong Bond, 62, was stricken with an apparent heart attack and pronounced dead on arrival at Stones River Hospital, Woodbury, at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. A member of Providence Baptist Church and native of this county, the Powermatic employee was married May 5, 1943 to the former Pauline Ward and was a son of the Late John Herbert and Bessie Agnes Davenport Bond. In addition to his widow, he is survived by a son and daughter, Robert A. (Bobby) Bond, Jr. and Mrs. Brenda Woodlee, both of McMinnville. He is also survived by a foster daughter and foster son, Mrs. Maxine Eddy of Nashville, Lawton Pelham of Alabama and one grandchild. Brownie Smith and C.E. Buford Oscar Bonner Sr., 72
Morrison resident and Warren County native Buford Oscar Bonner Sr., 72, died Oct. 8 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville after an extended illness. A retired employee of AEDC in Tullahoma and a member of Morrison Church of Christ where he was the teacher of the Adult Bible Class, he served his country in the 101st Airborne during World War II. The son of Elda Bonner and Zora Pedigo Bonner Riddle, he is preceded in death by one brother, Jesse Bonner; three step-brothers, J.D., Buck, and Jack Riddle; and two step-sisters, Clayton Eirheart and Velma Officer. He is survived by his wife, Lola Youngblood Bonner; three daughters, Deborah Harrison of Cumming, Ga., Dianne Amburn of Flowery Branch, Ga., and Darlene Molloy of Knoxville; one son, Buford Oscar (Ozzie) Bonner Jr. of McMinnville; one step-brother, Everett Riddle of Nashville; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Services were held Sunday at Morrison Church of Christ with Lynwood Mathis and Ken Willis officiating. Burial followed at Stroud Cemetery. BONNER, Jesse Foster (1927 - 1953)
Jesse Bonner's Rites Wednesday
Funeral services for Jesse Foster Bonner, 26, who died at a local hospital Monday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at Morrison Church of Christ. Stanley J. McInery minister of Westwood Church of Christ, and Trice Dickson, Morrison minister, officiated and burial was in Stroud cemetery. Mr. Bonner, a well known young citizen of Morrison and former bookkeeper for Morrison Chair Factory, deid at Medical Clinic following an illness of fifteen months. A native of Warren county, Mr. Bonner was born February 28, 1927. He was a son of the late Elda Bonner and Mrs. Zora Pedigo Riddle and served during World War II as a signal Corps soldier. He was a member of the Armed forces for more than three years with one year's duty in Alaska. Mr. Bonner was a graduate of Morrison high school and Tennessee Tech, Cookville, where he received a degree in civil engineering and he was a member of the Church of Christ, American Legion and VFW. Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother, Buford Bonner, Morrison; four step-brothers, Irvin and Everett Riddle. Manchester, J.D. Riddle, Hillsboro, and Jack Riddle, Keesler Field, Miss.; two step-sisters, Mrs. Velma Officer, Sparta, and Mrs. Clayton Earnhart, Texas. John E. Bonner Buried Sunday
John Elmore Bonner, retired Warren county farmer, died Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock at Medical Clinic, following an illness of two weeks. He was 84 years of age. Funeral rites were conducted Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Morrison Church of Christ. Officiating were Stanley J. A. McInery, minister of Westwood Church of Christ, and Allen Phy, Central minister, and burial was in Morrison cemetery. A native of Warren county, Mr. Bonner was born November 10, 1867. He was born November 10, 1867. He was a son of Redden Bonner and Mary Dodson Bonner and he was married January 8, 1890 to Miss Sallie Ann Wilson. She died March 12, 1944. Mr. Bonner was a member of the church of Christ and had lived in the Morrison Community most of his life. He is survived by five sons, Troy M. Bonner, Covington, Ky., Lloyd Bonner, Nashville, Bob Bonner, Indianapolis, Ind., Elmer Bonner, Bowling Green, Ky., and Leonard Bonner, Dallas, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Parker and Miss Sudie Bonner, Morrison, Mrs. Alton Davis, Chattanooga, and Mrs. Horace Freeman, Shelbyville; two brothers, Nim Bonner and Mack Bonner, Morrison and two sisters, Mrs. R.E. BONNER, Nancy Estelle Rogers (circa 1904-1998)
Nancy Estelle Bonner, 94, succumbed to a lingering illness on Sunday at a nursing home in Gadsden, Ala. She was a former resident of Morrison, a native of Coffee County and a member of the Church of Christ. She was the wife of the late Grady R. Bonner and daughter of the late John and Martha Rogers. Graveside services were held yesterday in the Morrison Cemetery in Warren County with James R. Vest officiating. Nimrod Bilbrey Bonner, 83, retired Morrison farmer, died at his home Saturday evening at 11:15 o’clock, following a month’s illness. Funeral rites were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Morrison Church of Christ. Trice Dickson, the minister, officiated and burial was in Stroud cemetery. Mr. Bonner, native and lifelong resident of Warren county, was born December 23, 1869. He was a son of Redden Bonner and Mary Dodson Bonner and he was married to Miss Lillie Hoover, who preceded him in death September 2, 1948. Mr. Bonner was a member of the Church of Christ. He was the son of Robert Harvey and Bertha Ramsey Bonner; and was preceded in death by son, Robert Edgar Bonner Jr. in 1987; and daughter, Hattileen Hudgins in 1976. Mrs. Goldie B. Crain was informed Friday of the death of her brother, Tom Bonner, 82, which occurred that morning at his home in Henderson, N. C. Mr. Bonner, son of Jack and Ann Penn Bonner, was born and reared in Warren county. He was a member of the Methodist Church and is survived by Mrs. Crain and another sister, Mrs. Hattie Gulley, also of McMinnville; his wife and a son and daughter. Mrs. Eunice Boren, 80-year-old resident of Pike Hill Road, died of an extended illness in South Oaks Health Care Center at 11 a.m. Sunday. A member of East End Church of Christ and native of DeKalb County, she was the wife of Ernest Boren and a daughter of the late Joe and Martha Jane Cantrell Blankenship. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons and three daughters, Clebern Ray Boren of Madison Heights, Mich., Charles Boren, Frances Chisam and Johnnie Hughes of McMinnville and Dovie Davenport of Winchester. She is also survived by two sisters, Cleo Hutchins of McMinnville, Ruby Crouch of Smithville, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Gilbert Floyd Boren, who died unexpectedly at his home at Bluff Springs of a heart attack Wednesday morning at 5:30 o'clock, were held Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Bluff Springs Church of Christ. John W. High officiated and burial was in the Bluff Springs cemetery. Mr. Boren was born in Warren county December 3, 1883. He was a son of Hiram Boren and Samantha Cope Boren and he was married to Miss Dollie Green. She survives. He had been a farmer at Bluff Springs for a number of years. Besides his wife, the survivors are three sons, Joe Boren, Moore's College, John Boren, Detroit, Mich., and Nelson Boren, Bluff Springs; three daughters, Mrs. Auburn Griffin, Belk, Mrs. Clyde Terry, Raleigh, N.C. , and Miss Jean Boren, Bluff Springs. James Elexander Boren, retired 14th district farmer, died at his home in the Jesse community Saturday morning at 10 o'clock, following an illness of a year. He was 75. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, at Salem Church of Christ with John W. High officiating. Burial was in Salem cemetery. Mr. Boren, native of Warren county, was born March 20, 1877. He was a son of Pleas Boren and Elizabeth Upchurch Boren and he was married in May 1928 to Miss Leeta Stiles, who survives. Mr. Boren was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, J. R. Boren, McMinnnville; two brothers, Floyd Boren and William Boren, one sister, Miss Mary Boren, and a granddaughter, Nancy Elaine Boren, all of McMinnville. Funeral services for James Thomas Bostick, 3 ½-year-old son of James Thomas and Roberta Clark Bostick, of Nashville, formerly of McMinnville,were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the chapel of High Funeral Home. Dr. James W. Henley, minister of West End Methodist Church, Nashville, officiated and burial was in Mt. View cemetery. The child died in Vanderbilt hospital, Nashville, Saturday morning at 6:30 o'clock, following an illness of six months. He was born in Hamilton county. Besides the parents, the survivors are one sister, Caroline Bostick, Nashville; the paternal grandmother, Mrs. J.P. Bostick, and the maternal grandmother, Mrs. T.R. Clark, both of McMinnville. Retired Pike Hill Road farmer Joe Bottoms, 90, succumbed to a six-week illness in McMinnville Health Care Center at 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Born Aug 14, 1896 in this county, he was a member of Shellsford Baptist church and a son of the late James Cheatham and Florence McGee Bottoms. He was married to the former Lucille Delong.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by three sons and four daughters, Clarence of McMinnville, Jimmy of Snellville, GA., Larry Bottoms of Naples, Fla., Lucille Paxton and Dorothy Cahill of Oceanside, Calif., Pauline Stowers of Smyrna, Ga., and Joyce Davis of Decatur, Ga. He is also survived by a brother and sister, Everett Bottoms of Greenbrier, Randy Bost of ___ , Ohio, stepsons A.J. Clemmons of Oregon, E.J. Clemmons of Texas, Phil Clemmons of McMinnville, Barbara Clemmons of Phoenix, Ariz., nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren.

BOTTOMS, Lelon Austin (circa 1929-1987)
Retired farmerLelon Austin Bottoms, 58-year-old resident of Route 9, died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Murfreesboro VA Hospital. A member of the Shellsford Baptist Church and native of this county, he was a son of the late Frank and Mary Grissom Bottoms and a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his widow, Helen Bottoms, son and daughter, Kenneth Bottoms of South Carolina, and Anita Ware of Key West, Fla. He is also survived by three brothers and two sistrs, Charles (Buck) Bottoms of Tampa, Fla., James and Alton Bottoms, Velma Butcher, all of McMinnville, and Wilma Templeton of Manchester.

BOULDIN, Anderson Arthur Hoden (1883-1950)
Anderson Arthur Hoden Bouldin, 66, sixth district farmer, died at his home on Hills Creek January 3 after an illness of two weeks. Funeral services were conducted at the Hills Creek Church of Christ last Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock with J.R. Bailey officiating. Burial was in the Hills Creek cemetery. Mr. Bouldin, native of Warren county, was born December 13, 1883. The deceased was a son of Thomas Bouldin and Ellie Curtis Bouldin and was married to Miss Josie Curtis, who survives. He was a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother, W.D. Bouldin, Hills Creek; and three sisters, Mrs. Billy McDaniel, Akron, Ohio, Mrs. James Clendenon, MdMinnville, and Mrs. Vache Lankford, Smartts. Arrangements were by High's.

Mrs. Bouldin, 68, Dies Of Illness
An illness of six weeks proved fatal Saturday to Mrs. Anne Hillis Bouldin, widow of M.P. Bouldin, who died at the home of a son, Obie Bouldin, at Vervilla at 11:45 p.m. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at Crain Hill Church of Christ. Allen Phy, minister of Central Church of Christ, officiated and burial was in the Crain Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Bouldin, native of Van Buren county, was born July 30, 1884. She was a daughter of Ebb Hillis and Sarah O’Neal Hillis and she was married to Mr. Bouldin in 1900. He died March 10, 1910. Mrs. Bouldin was a member of the Church of Christ and had made her home with her son for several years.
Besides her son, at whose home she died, she is survived by another son, Everett Bouldin, Morrison; three daughters, Mrs. Freeman Brown, Mrs. C.W. A retired farmer and nurseryman, Mr. Bouldin was married to Susie Rogers Bouldin who preceded him in death in 1964. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Delia Bowden, widow of Dr. U.B. Bowden, Grundy-Warren County health officer for several years, died at her home at Pelham Tuesday night of last week, following a lingering illness. She was 68. Funeral services and burial were held last Thursday at Pelham Methodist Church with Rev. A.J. Davis, Nashville, officiating. Burial was in Pelham cemetery. Mrs. Bowden was a Franklin county native, the daughter of the late Virginia Catherine Patterson and John David Wilder. She was a charter member of Avalon Arts Academy and she had painted numerous works on antique lamps. She is survived by one son, Charles V. Bowden, Monteagle; two daughters, Mrs. R.A. BOYD, Andrew Jackson (1881-1952)
Andrew Jackson Boyd, well known Smyrna farmer and church leader, died of a heart attack suffered on West Main street Thursday morning at 9 o'clock as he was enroute to a local hospital for a check-up. He was 70. Mr. Boyd had been in Failing health for several years and within the past two months had suffered several serious heart attacks. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Smyrna Chruch of Christ. William H. Lewis, minister of Bybees Branch Church of Christ, officiated and burial was in Smurna cemetery. A native of Warren county, Mr. Boyd was born August 7, 1881. He was a son of M.D. L. Boyd and Mary Jane Turner Boyd and he was married in June 1922 To Miss Sallie Wagner. She survives. Mr. Boyd had been a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and was a deacon of the Smyrna congregation for a number of years. He owned and operated a farm in the Smyrna community until ill health forced his retirement from active work. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Leonard F. Smith, Jr., McMinnville; two brothers, R.J. Boyd and Foster Boyd, McMinnville, and two sisters, Miss Vira Boyd and Miss Drucie Boyd, McMinnville. Also three grandchildren. High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Edgar T. Boyd Buried Sunday
Edgar T. Boyd, Warren county farmer, died at Medical clinic Friday afternoon at 12:15 o'clock. His death was unexpected since he had not been ill previously. Funeral services wer held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Smyrna Church of Christ. The minister, Silas F. Shaw, officiated and burial was in Smyrna cemetery. A native of Warren county, Mr. Boyd was born August 31, 1892. He was a son of John Boyd and Louisa Clendenon Boyd and he was married to Miss Eugenia Douglas who survives. Mr. Boyd was a part-time employee of a local lumber mill and also devoted time to farming interests. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Besides his wife, he is survived by one brother, Lester Boyd, of Rossville, Ga. High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

BOYD, Fannie Blanche Crain (circa 1886-1909)
Mrs. Fannie Blanche Boyd, wife of Mr. John A. Boyd, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Crain, died at the family home on Sparta Street, about 6 o'clock Thurs evening, Aug. 5th, after an illness of several weeks from fever. She was 23 years of age and is survived by husband, brothers and sisters. She had been a devoted member of the Christian Church for several years. The funeral services were held in the Christian Church at 3 o'clock Sat afternoon, conducted by Elders J.B. Cowden and Wm. Thurman, followed by interment in Riverside Cemetery. The tenderest sympathies of many friends go out to the bereaved husband, parents and other relatives of deceased in their hours of sadness.

George Edward Boyd, 80
Rock Island resident and Warren County native George Edward Boyd, 80, died Oct 14 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville after a three-week illness. A retired cutting department employee at Genesco, he served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. The son of Irving Eutah and Lela Elizabeth Templeton Boyd, he was preceded in death by one brother, Houston E. Boyd; and two sisters, Glendon Foster and Elizabeth Stuck. He is survived by his wife, Georgia Zwingle Boyd; one son, James Ervin Boyd of Morristown; one daughter, Martha Faye Bell of Rock Island; one daughter-in-law Pam Boyd of Morristown; one brother, Robert L. Boyd of Rock Island; one sister, Lucille Stiles of McMinnville; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Old Bybee Cemetery with Wallace Caldwell officiating. Masonic services will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at High Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from noon until 9 p.m. today at High's. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
