Mince Meat

(E. Lossman)

6 lbs. lean beef or venison, boiled and chopped fine

12 lbs. chopped apple

2 lbs. suet, chopped fine

4 lbs. raisins

4 lbs. currants

1 lb. citron

3 lbs. brown sugar

3 quarts cider

1 quart Brer Rabbit molasses

1 quart brandy

1 cup vinegar

1/2 cup cinnamon

1/4 cup each cloves and allspice

3 nutmegs

Mix all ingredients together and cook until it is well scalded. Can in sterilized jars.
