Butterscotch Curls

(Mama S.)

2 cups flour

4 tsp. baking powder

2/3 tsp. salt

4 tbsp. shortening

2/3 cup milk

3 tbsp. butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

Sift dry ingredients. Add shortening. Add milk and knead slightly. Roll 1.4" thick. Spread creamed butter over top and sprinkle with brown sugar. Roll. Cut into 1" pieces and place in greased pan. Bake 30 minutes.
