Cousin Sperrie I did so want to see you again before I left, and was so sorry to miss your call, to ask you a huge favor-and that is may I have the honor on October seventeenth at four P. M. Church of The Redeemer Bryn Maur, of being "escorted" up the aisle and "given away" by you. I am hoping you will be able to do me this favor, and that it will not inconvenience, or be too strenuous for you. Are you feeling much better? I do hope so. And secondly, of I'm not asking too much, or overworking very nice cousins: I want to ask you Elise, if you will do me the great honor of being one of my bridesmaids. I simply couldn't feel married if my cousins and nearest relatives couldn't be with me, and take part at this very big event. There was so much to think about and do before I left, and then suddenly those fifteen girls to chaperone to Northfield which was the finishing touch, that I just haven't gotten down to serious thought about dresses yet. But I am not going to have anything at all elaborate or expensive for some of my friends I am asking just couldn't take part if I did-and I rather think now it would be simpler and quicker, especially as my friends taking part are from New York, Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia-to order dresses ready made, from a woman in Deures who is the buyer and goes to New York frequently and is on the look-out for me. As soon as I intervue her upon my return I can be definite to everyone. But I do hope you will be able to assist me in "The important event." And now Cousin Lida I haven't forgotten you-you will give me your usual support won't you?--and be right there as a sort of support and stand by-Auntie I fear will "need" support for such events are not exactly in her line-so your duties will be of very vital importance. (I mean in helping to receive) You are all dears if you can give me assistance in these various respects-am I asking too much? If so, please tell me frankly. Hoping to hear from you soon-and hoping you are having a perfect vacation.- I am, Devotedly yours, Dora Eldredge.
