Aylene Smith Vanstory of Covington, the widow of William Earl Vanstory, died in Baptist Memorial Hospital-East in Memphis of heart failure.  Services were on Friday afternoon in the chapel of Maley-Yarbrough Funeral Home Inc. of Covington with Mike Mays officiating. Interment was in Covington Memorial Gardens.  A native of Covington, she was a daughter of Charles Floyd Smith of Covington and the late Opal Mashburn Smith. She was a member of the Covington Church of Christ. In addition to her father, she leaves a son, Gary "punkin" Vanstory, and two daughters, Shirley Laxton and Peggy White, of Covington; three brothers, Malcolm Smith of Memphis and Ralph and Gerald Smith of Ripley; two sisters, Faye Tankersley of  Memphis and Martha Lynn Cranford of Covington; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
