Petty, of Memphis were led by Rev. Bob Emerson on Monday afternoon in the chapel of Munford Funeral Home. She was interred in Helen Crigger Cemetery. A daughter of Jesse and Susan Caroline McCullough Hewlett, she was born in the Clopton community. She moved to Memphis 35 years ago. She was a Baptist. Mrs. Petty died on Saturday in Shelby County Health Care Center in Memphis, where she had been a resident for a number of years. Survivors include two Sons, Roy Petty of Central Point, OR, and Ben Petty of Brighton; a daughter, Pauline Lee of Justice, IL.; a sister, Marguerite Ferguson of Covington; 43 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; 34 great-great- grandchildren and three great-great-great-grandchildren. Petty, which appeared in last week's edition of The Covington Leader. Mrs. Petty's maiden name was Lola Hewett and her parents were William Henry and Susannah Caroline Hewett.
