He has been sick for three years. He was 54. A native of Summer, Miss., Mr. Burk lived in his native state until moving to Munford nine years ago. His occupation was farming. He was a Baptist. Services were conducted by Rev. W. L. McCrackin, assisted by Rev. Joe Edmondson, at 3 p.m. Monday in the Munford Baptist Church. Burial, under the direction of the Munford Funeral Home, was in Helen Crigger Cemetery. Mr. Burk leaves his wife, Mrs. Beulah Burk; three sons, John Burk, Payton Burk and James Burk of Munford; four daughters, Mrs. Russell Hale of Barnwell, S. C., Mrs. Artie Martin and Mrs. James Timbs of Munford and Mrs. Earl Jones of Memphis; three brothers, John Wiley Burk and Will Burk of Memphis and James Ray Burk of Little Rock, Ark., and three sisters, Mrs. Leona Hollowell of Memphis, Mrs. Lydie Yarbrough of near Webb, Miss., and Mrs. E. D. Martin of Munford. He also leaves 11 grandchildren. He was 54. Mr. Burke was born at Sumner and had lived at Munford the past nine years. He was a Baptist. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Beulah Burke; three sons, John, Payton and James Burke of Munford; four daughters, Mrs. Russell Hale of Barnwell, S.
