We Sopia Watkins & Elizabeth Douglass, of the State of Tennessee, the County of Sumner, District No. 10, being sisters do hereby mutually agree that the farm, left to us by our brother Bennett E. Douglass and all pertaining thereto household & kitchen furniture shall remain in possession & undivided so long as either of us shall live & after death of each to be disposed of as we may think proper. this the 10th d of October 187?.

The last Will and Testament of Sophia Watkins was presented in open Court on the 19th day of May 1883, to be probated as the testament of Sophia Watkins, and thereupon B. D. Bell, and H. C. Dorris, being duly sworn, deposed: that the Sophia Watkins whose name is signed thereto is dead and the said Witness H. C. Dorris , whose name appears thereof? (at the book binding) as an attesting witness further deposed that he attested? (at the binding) the same at the request of the parties executing [pg 261] the same- to-wit. Bettie Douglass, and Sophia Watkins, and in their presence - He also deposed as did witness B. D. Bell, that C. G. Watkins, whose name also appears thereto as an attesting witness is dead but that his name is signed thereto and is in the proper handwriting of said C. G. Watkins, and that the same was written by him. It was therefore ordered and decreed by the Court, that said paper writing presented & proved as a foresaid be recorded in the Will book as the last Will and Testament of said Sophia Watkins.
