In the name of God Amen. I, Mary Mathews, Relict of the late Simon Mathew of the County of Sumner, State of Tennessee being of sound and ___ mind and memory but knowing the uncertainity of life do make and publish this as my last will and testament hereby revoking all wills and testaments by me heretofor made in.

  1. It is my will and desire that I shall be after my death be buried in a Christian like manner and all my just debts if any, paid out of any estate I may have.
  2. I do will and bequeath to my daughter, Octare Carr, wife of Thomas Carr and her heirs in consideration of her kindness and attentions to me, all and any description of estate that I may ____ possessed or ____ after the payment of my just debts to belong to her and her children and heirs forever.
  3. I do nomionate and appoint my son in law, Thos. Carr, my Exec. to this my last will and testament.

In witness thereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this 8th day Fbry 1851.

This last will and testament of Mary Matthew was this day produced in open court for probate and was duly proved by the Oath of William M. Blackmore one of the duly combining witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and
thereupon Thos. Carr Executor named in said will together with W.M.Blackmore Security approved in open court and entered into and acknowledged their bond to the State of Tennessee in the paid sum of Five hundred dollars conditioned as this law ____ and together by qualified as Executor.
