In the name of God Amen:
I Leonard Dugger of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee being in low health but of sound mind . . . 2ndly that my family should move to the Illinois Territory and to the County of Madison and on the waters of silver creek and take possession of all the lands I have entered in that County . . . the sum of three hundred and forty dollars to be disposed of as follows, viz.: one hundred dollars . . . wife Elizabeth . . . son John . . . youngest daughter Nancy . . . daughter Elizabeth Hunter . . . my six children Ja__?, Westley, Polly, Elizabeth, John and Nancy . . . my hand and seal this 25th day of September 1817
