I, Joseph Franklin of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee do this 9th day of April 1891 make this my first and last Will and Testament, to wit:

1st - I direct that my funeral expenses and debts be paid first out of any monies or property I may die possessed of.

2nd - Out of the great Kindness and constant care and attention given me by my son Joseph Franklin during this my present sickness and confinement as well as affection for him and his present faithfulness I do hereby give and bequeath to said Joseph Franklin all my entire estate both personal and real consisting of one house and lot near depot Saundersville Tennessee together with all my shops tools, Bed, bedclothes and wearing apparel, also one gold watch now in my hands or possession in trust for twelve dollars loaned my grand daughter Fannie Walls. Should said Franklin not redeem the same. But upon said Fannie Walls paying to said Joseph Franklin the said twelve dollars with interest thereon when she returns here, then said Joseph Franklin to give her up the watch.

3rd - I also give said Joseph Franklin all claims, debts and minor effects due me or that I may die possessed of.

4th - I do hereby appoint said Joseph Franklin to be my executor and administrator with out bond or security.

Sumner County Court March Term March 30th 1892.
A paper writing purporting to be the last Will and Testament of Joseph Franklin, dec'd was this day produced in open Court for probate and duly proven by the oaths of John C. Frazier and B. B. Frazier subscribing witnesses thereto when the same was ordered recorded as said last Will & Testament of Joseph Franklin dec'd.
