In the name of God Amen: I Henry Phillips of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee being weak in body and considering the _ of this mortal life and being of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say

First
I give and bequeath my soul to God who gave it and my body __ _.

Secondly
I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth Phillips after paying all my just debts all the _ residue and remainder of my personal estate, goods and chattel of _ kind and _ so ever. I give and bequeath the sa m to my beloved wife E. P. Who I _ appoint sole executrix of this my last will Testament during her widowhood hereby revoking all former wills or gifts made by me _ if _, my wife after my decease should come to marry it is my will that all the property to be sold and equally divided amongst my children - my wife lawful _ _. In witness _ I have _ my hand and seal this the 3rd day of April in the year of our Lord 1820

The last will and testament of Henry Phillis decd was exhibited in Court . . . whereupon Elizabeth Phillips the Executrix named in the said will qualified as such by taking the Oath . . . said Elizabeth Phillips together with Thomas Phillips and Amos Phillips . . .
