In the name of God Amen:

I Frances Ketring of the County of Sumner and State of Tennessee at present weak and frail of body but of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and testament and in manner and form following, to wit . . .

I give and bequeath to my loving wife Barbary (Barbara?) during her natural life the whole of my home plantation . . .

...to my sons Peter Ketring and Hubard Tapley and James Ellis with my household and Kitchen furniture . . .

Also I give and bequeath to my son Christopher Ketring at the decease of his mother my aforesaid home plantation tract of land including the tract of land bought of Leonard Dugger . . . and the track I purchased of Chamberland Hudson . . .

I bequeath to my said son Christopher mare or filly . . .

Also I give and bequeath to my son Phillip Ketring of Lancaster County and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania . . . the land I bought of Chamberland Hudson . . .

I give and bequeath to my sons Peter Ketring, Edward Ellis, Benjamin Taylor, James Elliss and Hubard Taply in addition to what I have heretofore given them each one dollar.

...appoint my son Peter Ketring Executor and my wife Barbara Ketring Executrix . . .

the 24th day of April in the years of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nineteen.
