In the name of God Amen
I, Elizabeth Taylor of Sumner County, Tennessee do make and ordain this my last will and testament. It is my best wish and desire that all my just debts be paid and the balance of my estate consisting of the following property viz. ten acres of land that I purchased of James Wallace _, all my house hold and kitchen furniture together with four negroes viz Sidny, Carloline(?) Maretra and Eliza also a tract of land in Campbell County Virginia (?) stock of all kind the above property I give to my three daughters Polly Taylor Jane Taylor Elizabeth Taylor to them and their heirs and assigns forever. my other children all having received their part theretofore the above named negroes being heretofore held by me and my three daughters undivided and at my death I will for an equal division to be made between my daughters Polly Taylor Jane Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor and them only.

Lastly I appoint my three daughters Polly Jane and Elizabeth Taylor exix. to this my last will and testament without them being compelled to give as witness my hand and seal this the thirty first of October in the year of our Lord one thousand hundred and thirty eight.

State of Tennessee Sumner County Court May Term 1839. The last will and testament of Elizabeth Taylor deceased was exhibited in open court for probate and was duly proved agreeable(?) to law by the oaths of James Dobb_ and Permelia Curry the subscribing witnesses thereto and thereof in Polly Taylor Executrix herein named appearance took the oath of Executrix prescribed by law it being divided in said will that no security should be required.
