I, Ella Ann Ryan of Sumner County, Tenn., a widow of William Ryan, being of sound mind and disposing memory, make this my last Will.

I give, devise, and bequeath to my daughter, Melissa Broderson, all such of my clothing, household furniture and effects as she chooses to keep for her use; the rest of the clothing, furniture and effects to be given to my son James William Ryan.

To my son Simon L. Ryan, I leave the sum of one dollar; to my daughter Minerva Ausbrooks, the sum of one dollar, to my son Joel H. Ryan the sum of one dollar.

To my son, James William Ryan, I bequeath my house and farm lying in District No. 14 of Sumner County Tennessee with the hope that he will keep it as the home place, unless he can sell to advantage.

Witness my hand at Louisville, Kentucky, this 16th day of March 1897.

The above named Ella Ann Ryan signed the above will in our presence and declared and published the same as her last will and testament, and at her request, in her presence, and in the presence of each other we hereunto set our names as subscribing witnesses.

Sumner County Court May Term May the 28th 1897.
A paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Mrs. Ella Ann Ryan dec'd, was this day produced in open Court for probate, when the same was duly proven by the oaths of Chas. A. Lang & Louis Baner, two of the subscribing witnesses thereto when the same was ordered recorded as said last will and testament of Mrs. Ella Ann Ryan dec'd.
