Know all men by these present that I Richard Strother in consideration of two hundred and twenty dollars to him in hand paid by Michael Shaver hath bargained and sold unto the said Shaver a negro girl slave named Nora(?) fourteen years old sound and sensible and the above said Richard Strother doth for himself his heirs, Executors and administrators covenant and agree to and with the said Michael Shaver his heirs and assigns to warrant and defend the above said negro girl Nora(?) forever against the claim of all persons whatsoever in witness whereof said Richard Strother hath set his hand and affixed his seal, this the eleventh day of August one thousand seven hundred and ninety one.
