Know all men by these present that I Ruffin Deloach in consideration of two hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid by Michael Shaver hath bargained and sold unto the said Shaver a Negro Man _ twenty four years old sound and sensible, and the above said Ruffin Deloach doth for himself his heirs Executors and administrators covenant and agree to and with the said Michael Shaver his heirs and assigns to warrant and defend the above _, Negro slave named Jacob forever against the Claim of all persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Ruffin Deloach hath set his hand and affixed his seal this eleventh day of August one thousand seven hundred and ninety one.
