(1) 20 Apr 1800, North Carolina, Anna "Anny" HUNT, b. 1780/85, Rowan County, North Carolina, (daughter of Ann and Gersham HUNT), d. 25 Jul 1842, Sumner County, TN, m. (2) 25 Nov 1842, in Tennessee, Sarah Penebaker, b. 1799, Kentucky, d. 1877. John died 14 Mar 1864, Sumner County, TN, buried: Wiseman Cemetery, Castalian Springs, TN. Joined the church in 1802. Jim Wiseman showed John died in Wilson County, TN. He also lived in Hickman, Dixon Springs, Castalian Springs, and Lebanon, TN. (Anny Hunt was the mother of all the children.)

Jonathan died 18 Feb 1869, Sumner County, TN, buried: Wiseman Cemetery, Castalian Springs, TN.

  2. James R. Wiseman, b. 1806, North Carolina, m. before 1830, to an unknown lady. James died 20 Jan 1863. James is said to have been deaf and mute. They had 7 children, but their names, sex, and birth data are not known.

  3. John Benjamin Wiseman, b. 1807, Smith County, TN, m. 26 Sep 183 9, in Wilson County, TN, Rebecca F. Jackson. John died 7 May 1841, Wilson County, TN.

  4. Isaac Wiseman, b. 1808, Wilson County, TN, m. 1832, Peachy F. Wood. Isaac died 1 Feb 1846, Sumner County, TN. In the 1850 census of Graves County, KY, Peachy is listed as head of Household No. 515, with minor children, John, Josiah, Lucinda, and Mary.

  5. Sarah Mary (Sally) Wiseman, b. 1810/17, Smith Co., TN, m. (1) 27 May 1831, in Sumner County, TN, John H. Turner, m. (2) 8 Jun 1839, in Benton County, TN, Abraham J. Hicks. Sarah died 7 Nov 1852, Sumner County, TN. (Information on the second marriage furnished by Jim Wiseman.)

  8. F. (Fannie) M. Wiseman, b. 1810/20, Smith County, TN, m. 13 Jan 1840, in Sumner County, TN, Thomas D. Summar. (The family bible of Mildred Weatherred and Rev. Jonathan Wiseman had a listing for "Frances Ann Wiseman daughter of John Wiseman who departed this life on the evening of the 8th day of May 1841". Perhaps this is Frances Ann instead of F. M. Wiseman.)

  10. Daughter Wiseman, b. 1810/20, Smith County, TN. The census indicated another daughter, but we have been unable to determine her name yet.
