Joseph married twice. Joseph married 1st to Agness Dinning on Nov 17, 1785 in Orange Co., NC. Agness Dinning (daughter of Andrew Dinning & Margaret) was born 1768 and died 1812. Joseph married 2nd to Polly Taylor West. (In a letter from Theda Pond Womack she writes "My theory she was the widow of William West who married Polly Taylor in 1806 and died before 1814"). Joseph married Polly Taylor West about 1814.
