Will of Samuel Morris

In the name of God Amen, I, Samuel Morris, being sick and weak of body, but strong mind and memory, being desirous to depose of all my wordly substance that by pleased God to help me within the following manner that is to say ---

I give and bequeath unto my daugther Martha and my son James, two feather beds and furniture belonging to them, which was formally the property of their mother (Betsey Harrison). Also they are to have equal portions of all the balance of my property, after my just debts are paid and the property , which came to me by my present wife is to be for her own children's benefit, I mean by the above that my first wife's children is to have all the property that came by their mother. I mean that my dear wife, Elizabeth Caldwell, shall have all my property remains after my just debts being paid and the two beds and furniture given my daughter and son as above directed of the executors all the property that came by her is first to be equally divided among her own children and then the balance is to be equally divided among them and their oldest sister and brother, Martha and James.

Lastly, I do certify and appoint my dearly beloved brother and brother-in-law, John Morris, and John Rider, Executors of this my last Will and Testament.
