Strother's Meeting House

Strother's Meeting House, the "cradle of the Methodist Church in the West", was built in 1800 in Cottontown, Tennessee. Bishop Francis Asbury held the first of the annual sessions of the Western Conference here on October 2, 1802. The house is now located on the campus of Scarritt College in Nashville.
