In the name of God Amen: I Simpson(?Sampson) Hart of Sumner County in this the State of North Carolina being _ and weak of in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory blessed be the Almightly God for the same, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life in a knowing that it is appointed for all men to die and being _ to settle my worldy affairs. So to prevent any dispute that might arise after my death in manner and form following:
Whereas I have sold to my brother in-law Lawrence Thompson my right to own d _ acres of land laying in the District of Kentucky which my father left me in his last will and testament which said land was to be of my own chosing my will and desire in that agreeable to my contract with said Thompson that he shall have of his own chosing the said one thousand acres of land.
Second
I leave and bequeath unto my four youngest brothers and sisters Cumberland Hart, Thomas, Richard, Green Hart, Mary Hart and China Hart the one half of the remaining of my real estate in _ laying in the State of North Carolina and the State of Virginia to them this _ and _ for _ in case any of my brothers or sisters so mentioned should died under age then _ _ case that _ or share shall be equally divided between _ surviving their so named.
Third
I leave and bequeath unto my sister Kiziah Thompson's five children, Richard Lawrence Thompson, Sarah _ Thompson, Nathaniel Hart Thompson, China Burton Thompson, Azariah Thompson the remainder of my real estate in land lying in the State of North Carolina and State of Viriginia which said land I am entitled to by virtue of the last will and testament of my fathers Nathanial Hart - to this thru him and _ forever. Also I leave and bequeth unto the above mentioned Richard Lawrence, Nathanial Hart Thompson, Sarah _ Thompson, China Burton Thompson and Azariah Thomas Thompson my _ or _ of the negroes that I am entitled to by viture of the last will and testament of my father Nathaniel Hart to them their heirs _ forever and my will and desire is that such slave or slaves shall be delivered into the care and charge of my brother-in-law Lawrence Thompson until the above mentioned children shall arrive at full age as soon as a division is made. I leave and bequeath my riding horse bridle and saddle to my nephew Richard Lawrence Thompson to him and his assigns. Also I leave and bequeath unto my niece Sarah Fanny Thompson one feather bed and furniture to her and her assigns. I leave and bequeath unto my oldest brother Nathaniel Hart the sum of five shillings currency. I leave and bequeath unto my brother John Hart the sum of five shillings currency. I leave and bequeath unto my sister Susannah Shelby the sum of five shillings currency. Lastly I constitute nominate and appoint Jesse Oldham, William Bush and Nicholas George of the District of Kentucky Executors to this my last will and testament _ all_ and forever with heretofore by me made. In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal the 23rd day of Feby 1790.
