John Hagan Jr. (possible son of John Hagan who died 1806 in Barren Co. KY) married first on 10 May 1817 in Allen Co. KY to Piety Strait. Piety was born abt 1792 in Wake Co. NC. She died before 1840, probably in Allen Co. KY, maybe at or soon after the birth of her last child. John Hagan Jr is found in the 1850 Allen Co. KY census (age 65), 1860 Warren Co. KY census (age 72). John Hagan Jr.'s second wife was Elizabeth Wheeler whom he married in 1842, is found in the 1870 Fulton Co. KY census.

Piety Strait, first wife of John Hagan Jr. is the daughter of William and Dorcas Strait. William and Dorcas Strait married in NC, then moved to Kentucky by 1800. William Strait b. 769 VA, , is the son of David Strait and Nancy Ann Briggs

4. Wright L/S Hagan born about 1825. Found on the Allen Co. KY Tax Lists for 1846, 1847 and 1848, next to William C. Hagan.
5. Jesse E. Hagan born about 1827. Next to father John in 1848 Allen Co. KY Tax List.
6. Male child born 1829.
7. Female child born between 1830-1835.

Willis Briggs Hagan (son of John Hagan and Piety Strait) was born 9 December 1819 possibly in Allen Co. KY. He died 29 June 1907 in Sumner Co. TN. Willis is buried in the Hagan Family Cemetery, Sumner Co. TN. He married 1st to Mary Lee Robertson on 19 February 1845 in Sumner Co. TN. Mary Lee was born about 1824 in VA. Mary Lee died before 1872. Willis married second to Catherine G. Legg (Legge) on 30 June 1872 in Sumner Co. TN. Catherine was born July 1837 in TN.

Willis was a member of the Baptist Church at Caney Fork.

4. William R. Hagan was born 1859, died 1939. He is buried in the Hagan Family Cemetery, Sumner Co. TN. He married Mary E. Legg (Legge) born 23 April 1856, died 1 Sept 1904, and buried as wife of "Eld. W. R. Hagan." William R. and Mary E.'s children were George W. born April 1882 and Pearl born September 1891. George W. appears in the 1910 Sumner Co. Census with wife Ida and son Roy.
5. Amanda Aurora Hagan born 1863. She died in 1941. Married Neely Parham Brown. Their children were: William Henry Brown born 1880 and Pauline Brown born 1904.

1. Georgia L. D. Hagan born about 1875.

In 1900, a granddaughter, Rosy A. Parks born Dec. 1891, was living with Willis and Catherine.
