Alexander Martin MCGLOTHLIN (son of Joseph MCGLOTHLIN and Ann BOYLE) was born 1 January 1832 in Sumner Co. TN and died 27 May 1914. He married 1st to Martha E. Payne on 16 June 1858. He married 2nd to Martha Jane Lovell on 12 Dec 1872, they divorced. He married 3rd to Harriet Bennetta White on 12 Dec 1878.

Martha E. Payne (daughter of Robert Payne and Sarah Beard) was born 21 Jan 1835. She died 3 July 1872.

3. Newton Eldon McGlothlin born 20 September 1864 Sumner Co. TN. Died 8 Feb 1939 in Sumner Co. TN. Married on 5 September 1887 to Louise L. Austin. Children: Eulah M. McGlothlin (married Addison B. Chowning) and Eloyse McGlothlin.
